  • Good morning, I'm hoping that this is another success?  I received an email from DCB Legal on 28th January 2025 stating:

We act for the Claimant in the above matter.

Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.

The attached has also been filed with the Court.

We will now proceed to close our file accordingly.

I have only received this on email, not on hard copy and there is no update on my MCOL to state that the case is closed.
Could someone just confirm if the matter is now closed or if there is anything that I need to do?

    Many thanks

    Kat

Oh and just as an aside, the court wrote to the claimant asking them to provide a full 'Particulars of Claim' or the court would dismiss the case.  I hadn't heard of this before and thought it was interesting as the court obviously wasn't going to take any BS from them!!

That's a win!  Was there a N279 attached to the email?  You are unlikely to receive it in the post.

    Yay!  Congrats! It is over.

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

    Please show us pictures of:

    1.  The Order from the court that you mentioned (only cover your name) because @Le_Kirk will be keen to add it to their 'judgments' link;

    2.  The attached Notice of Discontinuance (cover your name and the signatory's name) because @Umkomaas will be keen to add your success to the famous DCB Legal 'disco' thread.

Waiting for the order and will then add it to judgments.

Hello, this PCN is obviously still rumbling on because I have ignored all the letters from the debt collectors.

I have now received a 'Claim Form' - I have completed the AoS but stupidly did not take a note of the dates, I have tried looking at the AoS PDF but it does not give the relevant dates - is there any way to access this?

Thank you in advance, I shall now start preparing my defence.

Hi - how did you get on with this? I’m in a similar;ar situation with the same car park.

The court claim was discontinued, as 99% of DCB Legal claims are.
