  • Good morning,

Would someone be able to point me to the discussion about what to expect when? I seem to remember there were 12 steps ….. I have searched but I can’t find it.

    Many thanks

    Kat

  • Thank you @Coupon-mad, I emailed by DQ to the new email address listed and DCB Legals email address but I have not had anything back.

This takes me to the end of the ‘12 steps’ listed, I have looked (I promise!) and can’t find what to expect next, do I get a email giving me a date for the mediation call?

Thank you again for your help.

Did you receive an auto acknowledgment when you sent the e-mails?  Check your status on MCOL and see if they have lodged your DQ as received.  When did you send it?  Maybe send it again?

Thank you @Le_Kirk I checked on MCOL and it states that my DQ was sent on the 18/09/24, which is outside of the timeframe allowed. I actually emailed it on the 05/09/24. I think the cut off was a few days after ( I had been away so unable to deal with it earlier). On MCOL it states that they sent me the DQ on the 20/8.

I did not receive an auto acknowledgement to my email.

Does this mean that I’m not able to take it any further?

    Thanks again for your assistance.

  • Good morning,

I have received this, after refusing their very generous offer at mediation, and just wondering if someone can confirm that this is normal?

"This claim has been transferred to the County Court at ******* for allocation. On receipt, the file will be referred to a procedural judge who will allocate the claim to track and give case management directions. Details of the judge's decision will be sent to you in a notice of allocation."

I only ask because the last sentance doesn't seem to take into consideration that I will be attending the court or submitting evidence?

Just checking on the next steps as I understand them:
    • I will be sent details of when the case has been allocated to the court
    • At this point I submit my WS and any other evidence -(within 14 days) can this be done on email?
    • I attend court
    Many thanks for your help

You seem to understand it. ( Its all proceeding normally. )

The court order will have the deadlines, a typical deadline for you is to submit your WS + Exhibits bundle a couple of weeks before the hearing date, one email to the court and cc the legal company as well, so one email, 2 destinations

You attend court, Unless the claimant discontinues beforehand

It is misleading that the communication says "the Judge's decision" when all they are actually talking about is "what the Judge wants both parties to provide before the hearing".
