Phil, your second photo showing the top shower head, is that - the way it attaches to the wall - exactly the same as shown in the instructions? Could you post a closer pic, side-ish on, of that top pipe bend and bracket, please?1 -
frugalmacdugal said:Hi,just shove it to top or bottom out of the way and fit a universal holder that clamps round the pipe.Have you checked to see if that is the type fitted?1

Ok, pretty sure it's:1) Unscrew the rain head 'cos it's big.2) Unscrew the round top bracket cover - it should just unscrew.3) Under this you should find that the top horizontal rail goes into this bracket and is secured to the bracket using a 'pin'. I don't know what this pin is like - does it just push in, or is it screwed, but it should be obvious once you see it. Figure out how to remove it, but don't do so yet.Check the two screws that fix that bracket to the wall - are they nice and tight?4) At the bottom of the vertical rail, you'll see a couple of 'flats' on the chrome collar - protect that with a cloth, and place a spanner on it.Undo it anti-clock as you look down on it. Lift the released collar up. Under it you should see the top of a plumbing 'olive'.That whole pipe - with olive and collar on it - should lift straight up from the mixer body once the bracket has been released at the top - ie that 'pin'.5) Hold the vert rail with one hand, remove that top pin, gently pull the pipe out from the top bracket - I said gently - and, once free at the top, lift the whole pipe out of the mixer body. You can gently rotate the pipe back and forth gently to help this, if it's stuck in the mixer body.6) The vertical pipe now simply unscrews from the horizontal one.You can now slide off the broken holder and replace it. Worth, I think, getting the 'real thing'.Oh, and take a good photo of the whole rail setup, showing things like the hose holder, so you replace them in the correct order (you may wish to polish everything up to make it look soooper.)1

Great idea, think I will take the broken holder off and take it to the shops to ensure I get the right replacement1
