Hello ladies,
just popping my head in the door to say a quick hello. Thank you to everybody who has messaged me and put such thoughtful comments on here. I am sorry I haven’t replied, it has been a very strange few days but I am allowing myself time for contemplation. The weather is absolutely awful here today, lots of local flooding and trees down. I am about to go and brave the weather to give everybody a really early tea.I definitely need to acknowledge that the weather is having a huge impact on my mood. Also I know that I am doing way too much for everybody and that needs to calm down. I had a night away at the weekend which was great, but the minute my back is turned chaos reigns. DD has spilt an entire bottle of pink nail polish on her carpet, I suppose not entirely unusual for an 11-year-old girl but very annoying nonetheless.
if I don’t post much this week it’s because I am allowing myself time away from the Internet. I hope everybody has a super week and that your homes are warm and dry XX11 -
ASB.. dab it with nail polish remover and cotton wool.. don't rub it.. it gets the worst off.. BTDT!!
Squeak collected from school at 2.. no word about Dot..
Off to brave to gale and collect the 2 smalls.. DS2 gets Dot.. her 2 coats, bag of spares and hopefully picks me up some sanity on the way back. Pixie has dance class.. and I have a stress headache.
2 extra snotty emails sent... and one was growly!!
No time to get anything done.. I have had a cuppa..

Been to dentist, got meds and flu jab and took stuff to post office.
Set the robot off to do most of downstairs hoovering for me and washing went on line for a short while and is mostly dry and nothing blew away 😭
Have planned today's and tomorrow tea which is impressive for me atm11 -

Happy to join in the napping - got back a couple of hours ago, and am very sleepy. We had a lovely weekend, I was totally spoilt. Back to earth with a bang now. Well, more of a gentle thud, as I am not back at work until Thursday. Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes x
I’ve sorted a Mr M delivery for tomorrow, as the fridge is pretty bare. DD came home with us and was sorely disappointed that there was not a stack of food for her to nab. Tomorrow first thing I need to take DH to the hospital for an eye check, then I will need to get my act together.Natty - did you get my PM a while back about the CC swap?
Lots of hugs to you all. Lots of struggling going on atm, and I am sure that the weather isn’t helping anyone. It’s blowing a gale here, and lashing down with rain. Absolutely horrid.10 -

roundtuit said:Morning everyone xx
Back to work tomorrow. I love Mondays, not so keen on Tuesdays. But I get to go to work = I have a roof over my head and bills are paid. Call me Pollyanna 😊
Wishing you all a calm week.

The weather here is grim too (which makes Wednesdays worse and the children like caged things!!)
I have done some of the dailies.
Hugs to those in need xx11 -
Totally blowing a hoolie here. I've seen the flooding around Hawes on my FB. Can't imagine what it's like up in the dales. Hope all the hatches are battened and everyone is safe.

Hello all.
Well I was right about not flying today. Just the bed made and washing up done. There was a break in the weather for a little while so DGD2 and I walked Poppet as far as the postbox to post a letter. I'm not sure DGD2 understood what I was doing. We both had a nap around lunchtime then the weather was awful again. Trees down, chimneys down, roads closed around here. DH had to batten things down in the garden.
However we got DGD2 home safely and Poppet has had her vaccination. I might watch a Xmas film tonight.
See you tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Evening all.
Hugs to those oop north who are suffering badly from storm Debi - once the rain blew through around 9am, it's been quite a pleasant day here on the south coast - lots of sunshine, windy, but not damagingly so.
Have been a busy-bee today.
Replenished the indoor log store.
Moved the living room settee out and swept up a gazillion dog hairs and dusty things that had taken up residence behind it.
Gave the rest of the living room a good dust, sweep and polish.
Collected 1.5 black sacks full of dust/rubbish/gibble ready for either the household rubbish bin collection next week or the tip if I decide to take a run out there in the week.
Patio door door mat washed, dried (ended up double-pegging it because it blew off the line twice...) and put back.
Recycling out as it's recycle bin day tomoz.
Beef stew in the slow cooker.
Feel quite good I've had such a productive day. Mind you did take to my bed for 40 winks about 4pm as a result!
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
