All civil court claims are filed using MCOL, Google it, the N1 claim pack comes in the post from the CNBC in Northampton, you can easily study these things Via Google and studying the newbies sticky thread in announcements by coupon mad too

I have not had any of that paperwork either, but I know what to expect by doing research

I have lived at my current address since January 2016 and my d/l has had my current address on it since it was last renewed in 2020, so there should be no risk of any court papers, etc., going missing in that length of time unless they were wrongly addressed without my knowledge in the first place by the originator!
It is not your driving licence address that is important but the one on your V5C, however, since you have received letters from the PPC and their not-so-tame debt collectors it is a fair bet that they have your correct address for service and the next item might be a N1 claim form from CNBC.  Still worth looking at your V5C and checking!

. . .Now received a 30 Day L.O.C. from Moorside Legal arrived in yesterday morning's post dated 7 April 2025, and they're  wanting £160, and will be emailing them the recommended defence/reply from your Sticky Newbies Threads!

. . .One other point I would like to ask which may have some relevance to this and similar cases, has the new Mandatory Code of Practice come into force yet, and if so, are P.P.C.'s now banned from redacting the contact information on copies of their Landowner Contract sent to an Appellant? – if they still aren't then I think it's high time they were!

. . .I strongly suspect that had Ocean Parking not blanked out the Landowner information they sent me, they obviously know (or suspect!) a complaint to them would have resulted in a swift cancellation of the PCN and O.P. being possibly told where to go or even had their contract terminated – with the escalating number of complaints regarding this site I'm surprised they've not been either kicked off or ordered to introduce much fairer terms for the visitors by now!

Sadly no 6yrs we've been waiting on Govt CoP and regulation. Some MPs, groups and motorists are pushing for it. Join us, email your MP and sign the parking petitions.

. . .I have now contacted the MP for the Aldridge–Brownhills Constituency, Wendy Morton, to see if she can assist me with the Landowner's details in making a final complaint to the Landowner – I tried the details posted elsewhere on this Forum for Cordwell, etc., but the email bounced and the phone number was allegedly "out of service".

Did you have any luck with this? I’m in the same situation.

A heads up for all three of you:

It's very important that people like you join us to reply to the new Public Consultation, to tell the Government that:

    a) you have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be the SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 promised the public. As long as it is independent (and only ONE appeals service, not two involved in a race to the bottom) that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court.

b).  THAT THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY A THIRD PARTY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND OFFERING A POINTLESS 'PAYMENT PLAN'!  The answer to the question about adding ANY money for debt recovery is: NO. Nothing, nada.  If the parking industry want to use third parties they must pay for the service, like any other.

c). Tell them about your experience and that your case went all the way to court, precisely because (a) and (b) above mean there is no option, no safeguard for consumers as a buffer. At LBC stage the Debt Collector or solicitor makes no money unless they proceed to a court claim, therefore no amount of valid dispute would work because they make no money if they cancel.

Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

Do it this month pleeease! We will discuss it all in more detail in the coming days on that thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
