I thought my aerial was at fault but found it was the fly lead from the aerial at the back of my tv.
to me it all looks fine, if it is an aerial outside the flat then i have no idea how to check that or who is responsible for that as im guessing the outside aerial was fitted many many years ago

If it's not too late I'd check with the Freeview advice line that there's not work going on at your transmitter.Tumtitums said:Im afraid im going to have to give up on this and try to source a new tv at the weekend . I have trued tuning it and no differenceI guess it is perhaps older than 5 years but it definitely receives no channels via internet.wifi, it plugs into the wall via a white cable . does that go to an aerial ?
This isnt the first time in the past few years that there has been bad weather so im not convinced it is weather related. In addition when the smaller pocket tv was used to test via plugging it into the wall , the pocket TV worked fine
Only the channel called Thats TV is working all others are not but i dont know why

It more than likely is an outside problem but I think it’s better to eliminate the most accessible connections first.Sometimes the end plug connections just need redone,in my case the fly lead looked fine but when I replaced it the signal was perfect.Tumtitums said:hamski said:Sounds ike a bad signal through your aerial, try checking all of your connections on the aerial cable starting with the most accessible.(The plug into the back of the tv first)

it seems that the cause was because hyperoptic broadband drilled through the cable in the loft of the building i live in
