If anyone in the same predicament as me I can recommend Handbag Clinic who I sold my bag with. I also had quotes with Designer Exchange and Mulberry also have a buy back scheme where they offer vouchers.
I am steering clear of eBay even though sold stuff there before. I had two bad experiences of buyers trying it on :(

I have also sold a rather expensive watch with Chrono Hunter! Had quotes from a few others but decided to go with them and sold very very quickly.

Been to the post office to ship the items. And I’m feeling good.

Spent £12.45 on insured postage. And then did a tilly tidy of 7.55 to credit card..

I have also done a smaller tilly tidy before. Have decided to start doing it to leave a round number in my current account.

I have £240 until payday (bills and food in separate accounts accounted for)
  • Just popping in to say hi 👋, and your sick feeling about selling really resonated with me. I went through many debt cycles before finally getting on top of things, and I felt so much shame when selling some things last time round. Partly that I’d spent so much on something I didn’t even like that much, partly that I could see the purchase was driven by emotional spending / insecurity, partly I felt sick that I’d ‘lost’ so much money and I shouldn’t be in such a financial disaster given my job and salary.

But as uncomfortable as it was, working through those feelings was a really important part of changing my mindset around spending and debt, and getting out of the overspending and paying off cycle (hopefully!) for good! It’s like it inoculated me from never wanting to feel like that again. So I’m glad you’re feeling good about selling now! And I agree that ebay isn’t great for the level you’re selling at, too many scams.

Well done with the selling. Should give you a good head start with the interest bearing cards.

We have previously had a good spell selling on Ebay, but I think we were lucky with our buyers. None of them tried any underhand tactics and we got good prices for all of the items.

We must have another clear out next year and see what else we can sell.

I used to have lovely hair extensions but had them taken out recently as can’t justify the price and upkeep of it all. Seen some people raving about rosemary oil but was a bit sceptical…

However been using a set from Amazon and already in two weeks ish can see amazing difference in my hair. And believe me the hair was left in a very sorry state once the extensions were removed! So thought I would recommend.

I also have lash extensions and they are a bit sparse I have decided instead of upkeep I will remove and get lash oil to see if similarly it will have good effects as it did for my hair. Purchased the once recommended for lashes, nails etc etc. so will let you know how I get on.

    Total spent £19.97 on oils
    Money for sons lunches £10

Total left in account - £210.03

But any Rosemary oil will do. I liked that set as it came with a massager ! I have also received my lash and nail oils today. It’s castor oil and has a lash mascara bottle for it! Took my false eyelashes off (got glue dissolver as didn’t want to go to the salon and just did it myself!)
