PS if we're having a Flylady village I'm available for pet sitting and child sitting. But no popping. I'm not a fan of people popping. 😊
I need to do some kitchen sorting with my newly delivered exceptionally cheap T£mu bits.. to stop people writing their names on food they have bought they can each have a basket in the fridge.. seems reasonable to me.. it is that or they get little fridges in their rooms.. though I am tempted by that idea too.. or I would be if anyone paid any bills!

piggers - new humans are always welcome, tis popping for a cuppa that I'm allergic to. Except in direst need, but even then I'm better on the phone. Or texting. Texting is good. Planned gatherings I can cope with....mostly.
Somehow most of this week's peopling is occurring in the next 24 hours. I was free all week, but other people weren't. So intense peopling coming up. Then I have five and a half days to recover. Please don't misunderstand - these are my friends* but tis still peopling. *A is a colleague that I've never actually met but we have messaged each other at work. S invited her to join us. (She did ask me first) Anyhoo this time tomorrow I'll be all peopled out. It is nice having friends but they do seem to want to meet up occasionally. 🤷♀️
Second load is pegged out. I'm watching a big black cloud approach and wondering whether to bring in first load which has dried to some degree.
WUDUPA and birthday cards are written. Including all January birthdays and the February birthday. Woot woot.
Dang it. Which way is that cloud going? I think I'll bring in that first load and finish off on the airer.

ETA Brought all the washing in. It is now artfully arranged on the airer and radiators. It won't rain now. 🤣

Round.. I get it. thankfully my house is too messy to have anyone over and I do use the children and their autism as an excuse to decline invitations so as not to offend others delicate sensibilities.. apparently 'no I don't want to' is not a good reason. 'Thnk you for the invite but alas I am unable to/have made plans already' is my favourite rely to invitations. And yes, it takes days to receover; it took the better part of a week to recover from the wedding in September.
I have put up a holder for kitchen roll and given OH something other than his hand to wipe his nose on..
I am in naughty chld talks with pixies friends mum.. with car recommendations.. 2 non-drivers discussing cars.. it's going well.

Me again. I was happily pootling about then remembered that I was supposed to be putting poppies up at the memorial.
Summary of what I've done this morning then. Dailies, washing up (everything since yesterday lunchtime, I am a sloven), changed bedding, dusted dusty surfaces in bedroom, attempted to take Poppet for a walk (she wasn't interested), spent half an hour cutting down bushes, popped to housebound friend to help her with a knitting pattern (get me!), put up the poppies at the Memorial, attempted to take Poppet out again (still no go) and I've just eaten lunch.
Going to whizz the hoover round next.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Oh a flylady village! Yes please. Can I be librarian, maybe with a knitting corner, then you can all come in, be surrounded by peace and book loveliness, but no need to chatter. Unless you need to ask Piggers to put your knitting right - or is that going to be just me?
I have been jabbed and am peopled out. DD’s car given a run to big town. Bought a couple of 🎄presents and a few cards - all on my list. Went to Mr L (all in the same retail park, so no scary driving / parking scenarios) and bought a couple of bits (on list again), and got my 2024 calendar in the huge cs. DH went to the allotment and dug a horseradish root - interesting dinners ahead, then.
No flying yet, but quite a productive couple of hours. Now to find somewhere to stash the purchases.

piggers - After years of doing things I didn't want to do to please other people I'm now quite adept at saying No I don't want to. Maybe it's the look I give when I say it that persuades people not to push it. 😉
Blue skies, sunshine and a breeze. And my washing is safely indoors. How annoying 🙄
I'm going to read a chapter of my book, then get changed as visiting H may lead me into a time warp which will mean going straight over to the pub to meet Sh and A. This happens at H's house: time behaves differently in her kitchen!
I have more cardboard to put in the recycling bin before I go.

Just popped in on my lunch "break", now slightly distracted with thoughts of how wonderful our village would be....

Thankyou. If feeling less overwhelmed today but motivation still lacking. Changed a bed and got washing outside but not much else.
Took 9 cobs out the freezer that have been there ages in hopes at least 5 are usable 😂10 -
*Healing vibes* for your arm, Natty. Falling over as we get older isn't fun. I wish we had a dog that told us when she needed to go out. Mostly we've worked out how often to put Wren outside but she seems to think life would be a lot nicer if she didn't have to go out at all, and what's wrong with peeing on the carpet anyway? The forecast is very iffy here and there's hardly any breeze but I've had to do two loads of washing because a) we're in Glasgow next week and there are a couple of things I need to take with me that needed washing and b) Wren came back from a walk in the woods absolutely covered in mud and needed a quick rub down with the Radio Times. That left me with three filthy, soggy towels that can't be left to moulder until we get some decent weather.Various hot spots sorted and cleared of extraneous gibble. This dot-to-dot malarky may be gradual but it does lead to a real improvement eventually. I found my 1p and 2p coin jar today. It's been missing for ages.I know I'm over-tired when I don't have the mental energy to make lists so I'm now taking life a bit easier.Better is good enough.7
