Oh HB that is just so unkind. I don't blame you for turning the air blue, I would have done just the same. Thank you for being so kind. It really is quite exhausting.
Spent 2 hours outside talking to the vet so need to work until 6pm to catch up. We have a lame pig, essentially trenchfoot for pigs. No surprise given just how bad the weather is. Lack of inside housing for animals is a real issue, I have a possible plan but that involves a neighbouring farmer being willing to rent me some space...
Chased chap for turf. Whilst field looks better as it's no longer a rubble heap, said heap was preferable to all.the.mud.
WM STINKS so is now on a 90 wash with bicarb in. Any ideas guys? I never wash on less than 40 degrees. This BEKO machine was a cheap mistake, and will need to be replaced soon. Any recommendations on good machines that can tolerate heavy usage? I was considering Miele in terms of longevity, would just need to halt any other spending until then.

I have an LG I hate and a Haier one I bought in the midde of lockdown in an utter emergency because I was drowning under laundry with just 1 machine which is better than the LG but I'm not overly enamoured with it.. I LOVED my samsungs, they were beasts.. These 2 are being replaced with those the second they give up the ghost. Miele machines are ugly.. I can't have something which annoys me with its appearance every time I look at it.

Thank you for the lists, Valli. I’ll contribute to the bail collection if needed.
Had a stupid day at work. I am one person with one pair of hands and a ridiculous workload, so what gives someone in an office nearly 200 miles away the right to ask what I have on my desk at the moment and proceed to lump more work my way?? Asking me to go to said office was the final straw and, don’t faint, but I used the No word. I now just need to stick to my guns and not feel guilty. No, no, no, no. See, I’m practising. If only agent million had come knocking here, the words would have been more along the lines of Stick It.
Anyhoo, flying….towel wash on before I left this morning. They are still pretty damp, hanging in the utility room. Plumber is here, trying to coax the boiler into life, but it is sounding ominous (another job for agent million). Easy stir fry planned for dinner when the plumber leaves. That will probably be me for the evening. Tomorrow is my day off so flying will resume. I’ll need to do it to keep warm, apart from anything else.10 -
Kitchen sorted - gave the spice corner a good bottoming out.
One load of washing went out on the line and is warming up in front of the fire., another load of washing done and then TDd.
Bread maker on and I ordered some more fresh yeast to portion up and freeze as I'm nearly out.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Bail…wow thanks ladies…lovely that you’ve got my back. She’s threatened to kill me…
The Aged P has survived but she has been resistant to my suggestions and, to be frank, hard work. She wants to be at home OR with stepdad, which I get, but it isn’t alway possible. She did join me on an errand to buy new taps.
Anyway he’s been discharged…thank goodness.

Thanks for thread.
A 'bitsa' sort of day.
- unloaded DW, put away.
- washed up other non-DW stuff, dried, put away.
- wiped down kitchen surfaces, having put away the stuff that seems to end up there.
- swept kitchen floor.
- moved to garden work; am continuing to dead-head things like geraniums which are still flowering! Gathered seeds from a giant nicotiana which appears most years, goodness knows where from, but hopefully now I have seeds plus I have potted up the few 'originals' and put them in the greenhouse, I can have lots more next year. Mr N dismantled and cleaned the fountain and bird table - the former goes in the greenhouse over winter and the bird table sits in the middle of the patio (where fountain usually is) so we can see our feathered friends more easily.
- almost finished a report (may yet, but I must remember not to sit up too late as I have the dental hygienist at 8.30am).
- did some drumming practice.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Morning all
Managed to get my Mr T Christmas slot. Only sat in the queue for 1.5 hours... but at least the website didn't crash. Also did my order for tomorrow's delivery. I MUST remember to not have a delivery the day doors open for festive order slots...
Bathroom day - goody. Weather is set fair so I can get the towels on the line...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
