Issues with debit card payments to YBS

I have had this problem with YBS only a few times amd more frequently a year ago.
I usually try again in a few days when it will probably be successful.
If you are using this for the Halifax reward then it is best to try early in the month so that an alternate strategy is possible.
It only seems to happen with YBS and never with Skipton or Cambridge.

I concur that experience - YBS block after a few DC transactions, for a few days. Different card, different amount, different device - doesn't make a difference for me.
That's interesting as normally I make three card payments into YBS in one session and it's OK but this time I attempted a forth payment and that's when I got declined and now three days later I still get declined.
Yes my 4th payment was declined also

Apologies to OP for hijacking the thread. I have exactly the same issue - now with Skipton. I usually pay funds into Skipton RS and Yorkshire BS RS by debit card from Halifax. Yesterday both payments were declined. 70 (seventy) minutes on phone with Halifax to reach their fraud department revealed the payments were declined because their system showed that the transactions have been made from Switzerland. After I convinced them that I am actually in Lausanne, they said the card has been authorised for online transactions using Swiss IP address... Today, I was able to pay finds to YBS and NS&I, but not to Skipton.

I have observed this multiple times in different months. Typically, three consecutive payments for three different YBS accounts, including their Loyalty Regular eSaver, using three different HLX debit cards will work. However, as soon as I use it for the fourth time, it fails.

Also, it is typical that when you wait a few days, say three days, the debit card payment will work again.

I would also like to learn from the person who managed to make more than three consecutive debit card payments with YBS.
