Issues with debit card payments to YBS

Yes I'm using it for my Halifax reward and my double cash back with TSB. I know I can use Skipton but I think last year folks said Skipton got hostile when accounts are use in this way (putting money in and then taking it out)

I concur that experience - YBS block after a few DC transactions, for a few days. Different card, different amount, different device - doesn't make a difference for me. 

That's interesting as normally I make three card payments into YBS in one session and it's OK but this time I attempted a forth payment and that's when I got declined and now three days later I still get declined.

I make payments into my YBS easy access and on the 1st transfer to the YBS regular Saver. It still occasionally refuses to accept a debit card payment. I just wait a week and then try again.

You mention in your original post that you are trying to make deposits into an old legacy YBS account, how old is the account? Have you any newer YBS accounts that you could try making deposits into? I'm wondering is there may be some sort of technical issue with old YBS accounts that's suddenly appeared for whatever reason. I seem to recall when the clocks went forward this year YBS thought everyone had been last logging into their online banking in 2093 so unless the clocks going back again could've set something off again?? I've only been using YBS since 2022 so can't test if there's anything strange going on with older accounts that isn't affecting newer accounts myself though.

Have you tried using different browsers? I've had frequent issues with getting various webchats to work, with Natwest's webchat not working appearing in Chrome sometimes, but will sometimes appear then keep randomly disappearing whilst in use from time to time. It usually works in one of my other browsers but can be hit and miss, Santander and Nationwide are the same.

Thanks for all your comments, yes so far I have used one of the cards to send money to Skipton BS and that worked no problem. The only other YBS account I have just now is a regular saver that is funded by SO. I do recall a similar problem about a year ago with declined payments, that after several months sorted it self out. What is strange is others don't appear to have this problem. I will try a different browser and see if that works.

Had made several DC payments then the next failed this is being logged in continuously it's sames to happen quite often with YBS

i tried this morning, couldn't get it to work on phone or website. i have never had issues before. wasnt even presented with debit card option, some 3rd party service instead

I've tried website and app with no luck, sent email 3 days ago nothing back yet. Both my cards work fine when used on other sites.

Made my Halifax payment last night, worked fine. Can't say I've ever had this issue
Mind, I never do them all on the same day. I'll wait a couple of days, then wait a few more before withdrawal just incase it does get flagged up & get awkward with me.

Yes I must admit I did attempt to do 4 payments in one day, 1 TSB and 3 Halifax. I normally do the 3 Halifax with no problems. I will leave it for a few days and try again.

tried the app again i am just offered deposit via 'payit'   but it (debit card) worked on the website

Just an update, YBS today excepted a payment from my debit card, so that's after trying for 4ish days. I have not done anything different than I did 4 days ago.
