  • Could possibly be one to keep an eye on. I've just had an email from Snoop and they're planning on entering the savings market:

    Thanks for the info 👍

I've used them a few times as they do a refer a friend offer of a £5 Amazon voucher (reminder to those new to this forum that asking for and giving referrals are not permitted on this forum) and they often give you Amazon vouchers for taking out credit cards, current accounts (including Virgin during their last switch offer), SIM only deals etc.

Plus they often allow you to get hold of cheaper SIM only deals than appear on the likes of MSE, Uswitch etc, which has been useful.

A $550,000 tax bill won't bother Snoop Dogg to much, he's worth at least $160 million (and he has a bank named after him).
  • A bit delayed I'm afraid but:

BOE Base rate has been held at 5%. 8 voted to hold, 1 voted to cut to 4.75%.

7 November is the next MPC meeting and it seems likely there'll be a rate reduction then. Anyway, 7 weeks to wait for that.

It'll be interesting to see if any savings providers jump the gun and cut rates before then.
  • I was a bit surprised they voted so heavily in favour of holding, I thought it was going to be a 6-3 or 7-2 vote.
