I have just received a letter from DCB Legal saying:
"Having reviewed the content of your defence, we are writing to inform you that our Client intends to proceed with the claim.
The Court will direct both parties to file directions questionnaires in due course. In anticipation of that we are enclosing a copy.
Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our Client may be prepared to settle this case. Therefore, in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on [Removed by Forum Team] within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence.

What do I do next, are they going to proceed with court claim??
You were expecting that weren't you?
Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...
Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.
Do I wait for the questionnaire to arrive in the post or should I be pro-active and download one and email it back?
At what point along the 12 steps would they discontinue it if they are going to?
Thanks!0 -
The CNBC are some weeks behind in their admin, so your DQ will likely be held up - nothing to concern you, but if you want to check whether it has been sent out, look at your MCOL history.ParkingMad_2023 said:

Thanks!Quite possibly what might happen before the receipt of your DQ is a DCB Legal discontinuation. Patience! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you! I’ve just had a look at MCOL. It says DQ was sent 28/12/23 but I have not received anything. Is this normal?Umkomaas said:

Go back and re-read item 8 on that checklist you were once following.
Now that you know a DQ has been sent to you, you are free to complete one and return it - remembering to send a copy to the Claimant.1
