NSGL, ZZPS, GCTT. So many acronyms, so little time...

Good morning all,
I'll start by saying I've read the newbie thread (twice) and searched for a similar case and struggled to find one with my circumstances.
Back in the distant summer, end of July, I entered a carpark owned by NSGL at approximately 20:40 and I remember seeing a sign saying "This carpark closes at 21:00" my memory is hazy and I recall no more than this. Needless to say I ended up staying beyond 21:00 which resulted in my reg being recorded at 21:20 and a fine being produced. My car is registered to my parents address that I visit extremely infrequently (I haven't since I parked in that car park near to their house).
My dad sent me a picture on whatsapp yesterday of a letter from GCTT titled "WARNING BEFORE THIS CASE IS TRANSFERRED TO SOLICITORS" - How frightening!
This is the first i personally knew of the charge. I asked if i had any other similar letters, his response was that i had other letters but he hadn't opened them as they were addressed to me (who knows why he decided to open the GCTT one). On opening the other two letters he found two from ZZPS, one a "DEBT COLLECTION NOTICE - £160 - DEBT UNPAID" and the other "FINAL WARNING - £160 OUTSTANDING". Of note, I never received a PCN from NSGL which i know to be irrelevant from the newbies thread. So now I'm curious as to what my next actions are. I'm heading to my parents in 2 weeks time so will then be able to revisit the car park and check out the signage. I honestly parked there assuming i wouldn't get charged for staying beyond the close time however it seemed they'd purposefully sent out an inspector to charge people for overstaying as he wasn't telling people to leave or anything just taking down details.
What's my next move?

Your next move is to read the Newbies thread3

You do realise that a CCJ paid off within 30 days (or is it 28? Either way, around a month) doesnt show on any credit file, dont you?Sixtoes2 said:
Apologies, I didn't realise there were more posts than the FAQ at the top. Got the fear as I don't want a CCJ against me as I'll be applying for a mortgage in the next couple of years.Grizebeck said:Your next move is to read the Newbies thread
In any case, ignore all letters by these acronym-laden companies until one of them issues a court claim, and then come back. Its not a fine either, btw.2 -
Your next step is to IGNORE these monney scammers
ZZPS IS CALLED THE OSNER SCAM, named after the owner and approved by the infamous BPA
(For those wannabee scammers reading this, try the BPA),
ONWARDS ... OSNER owns GCTT and is trying to do a WONGA WITH HIS RUBBISH
You will probably still get more rubbish from so called legals, all mates of OSNER as they all love to scam
If you get a LETTER BEFORE CLAIM from any of these oddballs come back here for more help.
In the meantime, you ignore fools like ZZPS and GCTT ... POWERLESS2 -
You need to get the address they are using erased and replaced with your current address. Even though the address they are using is that of your parents, you should never allow a PPC to have any address other than the one at which you are actually living. Email the PPC's Data Protection Officer with a Data Rectification Notice, requiring them to erase (use that word) the address they are holding and replace with your current one. Tell them to notify the data rectification to all agencies to which they have passed your data. The DPO's email should be in the Privacy section of the PPCs website. And while you're at it ..... have you notified the DVLA of your new address? Because if you haven't, you could receive a real fine of £1,000. You have to do two separate notifications for your driving licence and your V5C (logbook) - you can do both online. Do it soonest! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I am in the military, my parents is the only permanent address that I register things to as I move around every 6 months/am not in the country a lot of the time. But yes thanks for the help I can imagine people not in my position fall foul of this often!Umkomaas said:You need to get the address they are using erased and replaced with your current address. Point taken. Just make sure your parents are on the ball with this, informing you of any letter relating to this parking charge. What they must not do is pay it off, hoping it will help, when all they will be doing is helping to perpetuate the scam, and pumping their money into a fat cat's bank account to fund a flash car (some have a yacht, some a helicopter - believe me!) and a long-haul champagne lifestyle!Sixtoes2 said:

You don't say which branch of the military (not that it matters) but surely this cannot be the first time that mail for a serving (whatever you are) cannot be sent to them. What do the bosses at the military do for all the other participants in your position. What do they suggest they do for you now?Sixtoes2 said:I am in the military, my parents is the only permanent address that I register things to as I move around every 6 months/am not in the country a lot of the time. Sorry I don't know if i fully understand your question. There is an option for mail to be delivered to your home base which in theory is excellent. However mail often goes missing, cannot be delivered to base on weekends and in a 6 month period I'm usually able to get to base to pick up the mail on 2 days. It's much easier for it to go to my parents who are always in and usually (clearly not in this case) will open anything interesting looking and let me know about it.Le_Kirk said:
