Budget ski trip for 4

Myself and 3 friends are looking to book a week's ski holiday for the end of January, we'd like Italy for a change, we usually ski together each year but this year the money is a little scarcer.
At the moment we've seen a few half-board breaks, flights, skis, and ski passes all included, for around £1110 per person, which has gone up slightly from when we first looked.
What we were wondering is, if we left booking until after Xmas, are prices likely to be higher or lower?

Does anyone have any experience of booking a late deal ski trip :)

There are sometimes last minute offers for skiing, and it can be an idea to see where the snow is and try to book. But it's easier with 2 people, as the deals are often to fill up chalets with spare room. If your price includes lift pass then it's a very good price, our group of 20 usually pay around £1000 pp PLUS lift pass. You never know, there might be a few more deals this season with money being tight for everyone. We always go for chalet board, breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner and wine included, so we need very little spending money other than lunch and a few apres drinks.

Depending on where in Italy you fancy, we were in Champoluc this Jan, and had a great week at Hotel Du Champoluc with Crystal. Maybe have a look at Ski Miguel - we are going with them to Baqueria in Spain next Jan, we've also been to their Saalbach chalet, they are very good value for money, and you get guided skiing most days, which we loved.

In recent years with global warming and reduced snow levels in some destinations, ski bookings seem to have become later. People wait until they are confident that there is likely to be snow at their preferred destination before committing. This means if snow falls look great, demand will soar and so will prices, if the snow is thin on the ground, demand may fall but then you wouldn't want to go anyway, would you?

Thank you everyone, partly due to the advice here and partly because Crystalski have discount ending Monday, we’re going to book this weekend 😊
