Lasting Power of Attorney Reduced Fee

Hello all, I was wondering if someone could help me please- I'm probably being a bit dense but I don't want to muck up my LPA application as they seem quite hot on making you re-do it and pay again!
I've filled in my LPA forms and as I earn under £12k a year I can apply for a reduced fee. However, the guidance says the evidence of a 'recent tax return' must 'be from, or cover, the current tax year'. As a self-employed person I have filed my tax return for last year (22/23), the current tax year is 23/24, but I won't be able to file a tax return until the tax year is over because I won't know what my earnings will be. So how can you send them a tax return from the current tax year if the tax year isn't over yet? And by the time it is over, it'll no longer be the current tax year! I only have the option to send this type of evidence btw.
As I said, I'm probably being thick but I really don't want to mess it up. Thanks so much to anyone who can give a definitive answer!

The document in here just says the most recent self assessment? You could always email the OPG to check - they take forever to answer the phone.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
So it does @elsien, thank you for highlighting that, much clearer than the information when you're actually filling in the forms! So I should be okay sending in the most recent tax year filed assessment. Really appreciate your help0
