I switched off at the fuse box and read a book in front of the wood burner by the light of an led lamp. Very restful, I have to say, but no idea how many micro pence I made.

My results are in. I pre-charged my battery and then let it use that as normal during the session. I hadn't thought of exporting deliberately so it was just offsetting my use, which is low at that time as the battery often still has charge from the PV.
I saved 96% of my power and a whopping 0.74kWh over my normal usage.

I set the batteries to force discharge for the hour, and got 4400 Octopoints = £5.50. Will definitely be doing that again.4Kwp Solar, Lux 3.6kw inverter, 2*Pylontech 3000C batteries.

I've posted this elsewhere, but think this thread may bring me a better response.
We are on Tracker with Octopus, only had the panels and batteries a few months, I've never done any import/export other than what ordinarily happens. The sun's out here today, similar to yesterday where we got up from 20% to 81% of our 9.6kw battery by 3pm. I hope I've set the Solis inverter to top up between 3-5pm-ish, then discharge between 5-6.3pm. Does this look right?

Well it got to 3pm and nothing happened, so I went through all the instructions again, and found I hadn't done the bit to enable charging from the grid which is on a separate submenu. Fiddled about with it to start from 3.15pm and away it went. I'm assuming that it will now switch to discharging at 5pm. I did a quick bit of ironing, to save the 2p increase on rate for if I'd been doing it tomorrow, and have pre-boiled a kettle and stuck the contents in a flask for a quick re-boil during the saving session. OH plans on grilling for about 10 minutes during the saving session but hopefully we will make some money this time. Last time we only got points worth 15p, as we're low users with the battery and didn't have much scope to reduce it further just by cutting back.

Well at least this time around I'd prepared and configured my export correctly and it's working as it should - unlike last time...
