So i just saw the email from octopus about this years saving sessions and octoplus as they call it.
Anyone looked into it yet to see if we can still earn points the same way as we did last year, ie. The in day calculation method?

Another way to benefit from lots of wind.. is to have Intelligent Octopus and an EV; in addition to the 6 hours cheap I've been plugging in earlier and getting the cheap rate when the conditions are right. Some of the benefits of Agile without some of the disadvantages. As ever it takes being an educated customer to work out your own personal best options.Certainly I didn't make much from the saver sessions last year; it was more from interest and to help out because I could.1

Hugo (app) at least are planning to pay out (real cash not points) for export if your export meter can be read so a big win for those with batteries. Currently EDF are refusing to set up my smart meter with an export mpan - apparently they pay SEG based on manual export reads from the smart meter!I think....0

Wonder if the "free"electricity will override the Flux import tariff?- 10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.
- Triple aspect. (22% ENE/ 33% SSE/ 45% WSW)
- Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (the most efficient gas boiler sold)Feel free to DM me if I can help with any energy saving!0 -
When I checked my Octopus account it seems like all my savings last year were donated to charity. I'm pretty sure I didn't agree this but as I've always used so little power at peak times (because of the house battery) I never made much out of this anyway. I've signed up again but don't expect to make a difference to me.Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
Install 2: Sept 19, 600W SSE
Solax 6.3kWh battery0 -
Seems like all the companies are running energy saving sessions tomorrow although times may be slightly different.
Hugo (app based) are paying £3 per kwh (possibly less 20%) but this is the key bit:
If you have an Export MPAN and can export during the Event, you will get an additional £3 per kWh. Subject to your Export MPAN data being available.
Our export is unfortunately not readable (yet, hopefully I am getting Scottish Power to rectify this) but if you have batteries then this seems like a much bigger win than trying to time shift normal usage.
Not sure if any of the other providers are paying out for export?
I think....0
