Well I didn't sort out any of my craft materials but I did sort out the cupboard under the sink that was a complete mess!! I can now see the abundance of cleaning products and 10,000 sponges we already have - clearly the disarray of the cupboard meant that we'd picked up multiple packs!!!

Spent £61 on petrol which came out of the petrol pot, but other than that it was a NSD. Today the only intended spending is for acro - which comes out of my "fitness" pot. Need to decide what to do tomorrow night - my netball team don't have a game so was thinking about trying a different acro class instead. However, it's in town which will mean paying for parking as well - the free parking would mean walking about 5-10 mins in the dark. I might check if my friend is going and where he parks as could possibly walk back with him.

I have pooch with me at work today, so will be taking her out at lunch rather than doing any crochet. However, I am pretty much at the stage of being able to start sewing the pieces of the merman together - my least favourite part but at least it means that it's almost finished! Hoping at the moment that I can get it done in time to take to the post office on Saturday as it needs to go to Australia!

Today's little list of bits and bobs...
    • Make lunch to take to work
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Turn off appliances at the wall
    • Sort out another small area of the house
    • Pay lowest amount for acro
    • Small dinner from stores
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)

I was still faffing with the decision whether to go to acro tomorrow night or play netball (as I'd seen a team needed players), when someone asked me directly if I would play! It means spending £5.85 instead of £12 plus parking, so I guess that's money saving! Technically I could try the acro class another week before netball - acro is 7:20-8:20 and some of my netball games don't start until 9:20!

My interview on Friday has been changed from 9:30 to 10:30, so I'm hoping I am back in time for the plumber scheduled to come at 1pm! Not sure how long it will go on for but is about an hour away, so I may be cutting it fine. Bf has an appointment at the hospital at 2pm re his mum, so he won't be around either! He usually works from home on a Friday so wouldn't have been an issue.

I sorted out another area last night, meaning I've met my weekly target of three areas! The area doesn't look as organised as I'd hoped but definitely looks tidier! Then went to acro (paid £7 from my fitness pot) - enjoyed it but I wasn't very good at the flow!!! In my defence, it was a continuation of last week so I was at a disadvantage as I wasn't there last week!

I'm working from home today and then have netball at 8pm tonight. It's good that I'm working from home as the pooch decided to puke on the bed this morning (at least it got us moving, as both me and bf were being lazy!) so means I have the time to sort it out. Only needed to wash the bottom sheet and a pillow case, not the whole lot! As I've got netball and bf has something to do after work, we'll both just sort our selves out for dinner.

    Today's bits and bobs...
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Two loads of washing on 30 degree quick cycles
    • Hang one load on airer
    • Work on crochet merman
    • Final interview prep
    • Meals from stores
    • Park for free at netball

Thanks guys! The interview seemed to go really well - particularly on the basis that it went on for 2 hours and ended with a mini tour of the grounds where the office is set!!! (They just have one small office but set within 100 acre grounds!). Opportunity, job, team etc all seem to fit me really well - and one of the interviewers said that I would fit in! Should hear this week if I've been successful and salary etc. So fingers crossed it all goes well!

Didn't make it back for the plumber but thankfully he'd come early when bf was still around... bad news though as need a new boiler! Looking at about £2,200 it appears. Of course my incredibly lovely parents have said they will pay and me pay them back, although I can probably do it if I drain my emergency fund, house/ diy fund and what I'd put aside for further CC payments this month. Currently debating the best course of action... I don't want more debt but also appreciate my emergency fund! I just need to face that whatever I do, it will slow down my progress (i.e. pay parents back or rebuild emergency fund) and also delay the work we were going to do to get the utility area sorted. Need to sit down with my spreadsheet and think about it all.

Oh and bf's car failed it's MOT! It did go through second time but looks like he needs a new car! Issue is that it's a deisel and he doesn't do the mileage, meaning it's causing problems which will only keep occurring! (His drive is about 5 minutes to work!)

Had a very busy weekend and I'm pretty pooped! I did spend too much money but also saved money by driving on Saturday - went to a birthday lunch and then a concert so drinking would have meant spending a fortune on taxis!

    Jobs for this week...
    • Finish the bliming merman!!!
    • Work out how to pay for boiler
    • Sew button back on jacket (did it not long ago but it's come off again!)
    • Sort out 3 areas around the house

    • Pay invoice for plumber
    • Look at options for paying for boiler
    • Work on crochet project at lunch
    • Do food shop with bf
    • Dinner from stores
