  • Technically-£1 for flowers to ease period anxiety sounds very reasonable!

Good catch on the broadband, worth checking out the MSE comparer if you haven't

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds - I like the math re flowers! It was so funny though when bf got home - he felt guilty that I'd bought myself flowers! Who says a girl can't buy herself flowers?!

Today has been very productive around the house! Two bags of textiles to get rid of, some things organised better, 9 things listed on Vinted, sofa bed built (technically only meant screwing on the four feet!), an old cabinet demolished, grass mowed and some de-weeding completed! Sofa bed looks great and is exactly what I wanted! Then to work out what else I want in there, although the next step is for bf to buy a desk for his computer and then work out how "busy" the room looks with that in there.

Yes but I was meant to be working from home @_Dolly_Rocker_ :D In my defence, work was very quiet and my bosses do tell me to make the most of the quiet patches!!!!

Had a very productive hour in the garden last night - was surprised what a difference that short amount of time made to how it looks! I wiped down the outside table and chairs, organised some bits at the top of the garden and swept the patio area. Bf helped a bit when he got home and cut back the rosemary which was massively overhanging the border! I was spurred on by the fact bf might be having his sister round for a bbq tomorrow (although looks like they give rain now!) but I'm so pleased I finally got round to doing it! I won't be there as I'm working from 2 (but will need to leave probably about 12). Then after I made dinner I went and met a friend for a beer before netball - we won 36:10!!! It was a tough, hot game!!!

Tonight I'm working at the festival, so I won't be going home after work - as it would mean fighting traffic home, only to come back in this direction 30 mins later! So I intend to take myself for a small bite to eat as a treat in town to kill some time. My friend who is also working the festival is going to drive tonight and then I will drive tomorrow, so I will park at hers this evening. It will be a long day as probably won't be home until 1ish! I did debate bringing some extra food to work with me but I decided that I want to treat myself for a change! It seems counterproductive, as I'm working to earn extra money and then spending some needlessly, but I have it in the budget and the sun is shining, so i will enjoy sitting in sunshine and reading my book for a while!

    Today's bits and bobs include....
    • Make lunch to take to work
    • Pop tortoises in the garden for the day (bf will bring in later)
    • Leave out something I posted on FB that someone is collecting today
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Park for free whilst in town
    • Post Vinted parcel if there's anywhere close by
    • Snap any receipts
    • Share lift to festival
    • Work this evening

I'm back after a tiring weekend!!!

I ended up finishing work a bit early on Friday so had a lovely time sat outside a cafe with a coke people-watching in the sun! I didn't buy any food as I wasn't hungry at that point - although I regretted it as I then didn't get a break until 10pm and had to quickly demolish a burger! However, the vendor at the festival gave it to me for free as I was working! Didn't get home until 12:30 in the end as friend had to drop someone home first - however, it saved my petrol!

Then Saturday I ended up working 1-11:30 on the bar (was meant to start at 2pm but given how busy Friday had been, they wanted us in an hour early!) - I drove me and my friend there. Spent £10 on a wrap for lunch/ dinner but that was all - tbh honest I had no time to spend anything anyway!

Yesterday was a bit more chilled - although had bf's 4 year old daughter until 4pm which means it wasn't too chilled! I had fun playing with her though whilst bf was doing some diy in the spare room! Popped to see my parents after dropping her back - picked up some of my mums potato salad (my fave) and dropped off some recipe books and the forms for my mum to pass on to my aunt.

Money wise - I'm waiting to see exact amount I get paid for this weekend (not sure what time they'll pay until - as bar closed at 11 but then did clearing up, restocking etc). I sold another item on Vinted for £10, so I have that to post off. Oh and my friend paid me £21 for something I'd paid for but I thought we'd covered it (she bought me dinner last weekend!) - however she's insistent which is very kind! It looks like I might end the month with money left in personal spends, groceries and petrol pots - so will need to decide where to utilise that (nice problem to have!)

    Today's bits and pieces:
    • Make lunch to take to work
    • Wash towels on 30 degree cycle
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Start working on August budget
    • Text friend about cutting my hair (haven't had it done since Feb!)
    • Work on crochet present at lunch
    • Post parcel on way home
    • Write shopping list
    • Shop to list
    • Snap receipt
    • Dinner from stores

Well I must confess that I bought me and bf a takeaway yesterday! I was having a very anxious 24 hours but had pulled myself out of it and decided as a treat I wanted my favourite takeaway! Timed it well as I had a £7 off voucher that expired yesterday, so that's at least something! Been ages since I was lazy and bought takeaway "just because"! I also spent £16 on some new headphones - but got my friend to order through her Prime so I didn't pay postage!

Spent the evening (when not eating takeaway!) helping bf put together his new desk area! So that room is looking great and is nearly finished! I think we decided that this weekend we are going to buy a blank canvas and some paints and create some abstract wall art to go in there - so that will be fun!

I had the hygienist and dentist this morning - pleased to report that nothing needed doing and the dentist said she hopes all her patients today are like me! I.e. nearly 38 with no fillings or other work that's been done!

Today's bits and bobs are as follows....
    • Make lunch to take to work
    • Take chicken and bacon out of the freezer for dinner
    • Move plant upstairs to see if it works in the space
    • Pay for dentist out of appropriate "pot"
    • Post parcel on way to work
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Work on crochet present at lunch
    • Go food shopping
    • Pop to Tesco for a couple of things I won't be able to get in Aldi
    • Snap receipts
    • Dinner from stores
