Ok - pleased to report that I completed all my weekly goals to the extent possible! (I.e. I couldn't clean the carpet but that was down to ex!)

One of the big advantages of being retired is being able to go out for meals that aren't on the bad service nights of Friday & Saturday.

I had a very busy and productive evening last night! Second fridge is now cleaned and I managed to wash the cushion covers for the small sofa and chair. Planning on washing the main sofa tonight so it can dry overnight and be put back on tomorrow morning. I will then need to take on the task of cleaning the arms etc of the furniture - the contrast between the clean bits and the grubby bits is even greater now!
I do have handheld carpet cleaner machine thingy that I borrowed from a friend to at least make that job slightly easier!
On my way home yesterday I picked up a parcel which was a top I bought from Vinted - no I probably don't need a new top but it was "only" £3 and I absolutely love it! So that's my outfit sorted for Saturday (all you can drink brunch for a friend's birthday).
Today's bits and bobs:- Put shelves back in fridge
- Put cushion covers back on
- Make lunch to take to work
- Dad at mine again doing some bits
- Work on cross stitch at lunch
- Dinner from stores - jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw to use up the coleslaw that is about to go out of date
- Wrap a birthday present for friend - homemade crochet scrunchie!
- Pop other covers in the machine
- Visit a friend
- Hang covers on airer overnight

Wow I fully pooped today! The catch up with my friend involved sitting and chatting in her kitchen until 1am!!! 1am on a school night!!! Lots of caffeine required today! I only had time for a quick dinner before I popped round there - I did strip the other sofa covers and put them in the machine but forgot to switch the blooming thing on!
Today's bits and bobs:- Drink lots of caffeine
- Make lunch to take to work
- Actually turn on washing machine!
- Work on cross stitch at lunch
- Pop to shop for couple of bits - realised this morning I had no butter for my sandwich so improvised with some cheese spread! So will need to grab a couple of bits for sandwiches
- Dinner from stores
- Wrap a birthday present for friend - didn't do this yesterday but seeing her tonight so needs to be done!
- Hang covers on airer

I achieved a few other little bits and bobs yesterday including making another CC payment (taking that CC from the £4ks into the £3ks!) and got rid of the last bit of change from the change jar - so that £2.40 has been shuffled into the misc savings. However, I did go to the pub after netball and bought myself and my friend a beer so spent £11 (although comes from my personal spends). Enjoyed netball - we lost but the team were lovely and are fairly new - felt funny that they were looking at me as an "experienced player" so wanted hints and tips!!!
This morning I popped all the sofa covers back on! Looks so much better in there! Not sure when I will get a chance to clean the sofa with the carpet cleaner - maybe I can just do that in my 30 minutes of cleaning time and do it slowly. Yes that's what I think I'll do as then it's not such an overwhelming task!
Today bits and pieces:- Put sofa covers back on (fighting with L-shaped covers at 6:30am is not my ideal way to start the day but I wanted to sit on the sofa!)
- Pop cushion covers in the washing machine
- Take lunch to work
- Update spreadsheet
- Work on cross stitch at lunch
- Try to work out yarn cost for something I've been asked to make - will get my friend to ok the cost before I order anything
- Hang covers on airer
- Do 30 minutes of cleaning
- Dinner from stores
- Netball!

Yes it was a big list @lucielle and no I didn't get through it!!! However, the reason being that I decided to make a sample square for the blanket I've been asked to make to get the recipient's view (I play netball with her so I wanted to show her last night) and also I ended up being roped in to playing another game of netball, so had to leave the house earlier! The netball game was free though as they were desperate and the person I was replacing had already paid. FYI - we lost both games last night!
Today is likely going to be not that productive as I am incredibly tired and have hardly sat down at home this week - so that is definitely on the cards tonight!!!
So today's list looks like:- Make lunch to take to work - including leftover pizza
- Parents at mine today doing various bits - including measuring the living room windows (I'm clueless!) as I want to get curtains to help with heat retention!
- Make final CC minimum payment for the month - would like to over pay one of them by £26 as that will take me into the next thousand bracket!
- Work on crochet project at lunch (eyes too tired to look at cross stitch!)
- Send a few texts for things I need organising - including one to ex as still haven't heard from him re picking up the bed!
- Make shopping list for few bits I'll need over the weekend
- Pop to shop
- Dinner from stores
- Crochet in front of the TV
- Early night!

I'd say to ex that unless the bed goes in the next week (2 weeks if that suits you better) it's going to be collected by a local charity. Don't let him keep messing you about - he's ex'd himself, and you've been way more lenient than I'd be!!!What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3
