And finally on to today and my daily list!!!
I am back at work for my final week - can't believe it's here as it feels like it's been forever since I handed in my notice! Tonight I am popping over to a friend's for a catch up - been FAR too long since I last saw her, so I'm really looking forward to it! Will have dinner before and as I'm going to hers, shouldn't be any spending involved there.- Make lunch to take to work
- Update spreadsheet
- Work on knitting at lunch
- Small food shop
- Snap receipt
- Dinner from stores

I don't know if you have siblings/nieces/nephews, but mine collaboratively decided that we would each choose a month and send mum/grandma flowers. Those on limited budgets and/or lived near enough could deliver a bunch of flowers in person, adding to her joy. Her joy was delightful. She loved flowers and loved her family. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1

My friend cancelled on me last minute yesterday, so instead did the food shop, cooked dinner and then chilled out with some knitting! (No I didn't tackle unpicking the bind off!) Today I am in the office and then have acro tonight - bf is out all day with a work event, so won't be home until late-ish.
I managed to sell something else on Vinted for £8 so need to get that posted off! Annoyingly, one item has been at the post office for collection since last Thursday but still hasn't been picked up! I did message the buyer this morning but don't know how the process works if it's not collected! That's £10 I'm waiting on for that one!!! However, one of the things I posted on Monday has been delivered already!
Today's bits and bobs...- Make lunch to take to work
- Update spreadsheet
- Little bit of knitting at lunch - also have to walk pooch
- Small dinner
- Get Vinted parcel ready
- List 2 things on Vinted
- Declutter 2 things
- Pay lowest amount at acro

As I am nearing the end of the knitted jumper I am starting to think about my next project. So I seem to be working on the basis of 1 fingering weight project and one thicker yarn based project. So when I finish the jumper I have 4 balls of DK weight that I got from bf's mum's stash that I want to use up next.
Well I have a number of projects in my ravelry queue (an online pattern database) but I think I need to consider the type of yarn and not just projects that work with the weight of yarn! So whilst it is acrylic it feels quite woolly - so probably wouldn't wear a summer/ sleeveless top too much in this material. And although there are a few vests/ slips that might work, it would also be good to use up as much as possible to get it out of stash? Therefore, I think it makes sense to make a jumper/ cardigan possibly...
Ok, I think that waffle helped me get a better path! But what I might do is make a swatch based on the recommended needles and see how the materials come out before I commit to buying a pattern? (I can see gauge and needles without buying!)
Also, went to work on my top project at work at lunch and it's all twisted!!! Either it twisted in the project bag and I can't work out how to untwist it without twisting a different part instead(!!!) OR when I joined the two front panels, one side was twisted and I didn't spot it! I think it's the latter having unsuccessfully tried getting the twist out (and given that I was tired when I got to that point last night!) thankfully I've only done a couple of rows after the join so will need to rip it back out and hope I don't drop stitches!!!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

All posted Vinted parcels have been collected and the money cleared! So £12 was sent to misc and £10 to house/DIY. However that meant I had over £15 in "loose change" in the misc pot, so then transferred that to the CC! (I'm confusing, I know!) I didn't put any new listings on Vinted yesterday though and today the weather is a bit gloomy, so not sure I'll be able to get good photos - will give it a try though! I did sort through my underwear drawer this morning and got rid of 5 odd socks, 3 pairs of worn socks and 5 pairs of pants! Also decluttered an old hand cream (only a cheap one!)
I am working from home today, although very little work to do! Last day is finally tomorrow! So around "work" my plans are to be brave and unpick the binding on the top! (Oh and fixed the issue I was having with the other top - did involve ribbing back but think I managed it successfully!) I also have to pop out and do a few bits, including posting a Vinted parcel which I will do when I go to Tesco for a couple of bits - including using a coupon for a free toothpaste!
Tonight is netball and am meeting my friend at the pub beforehand, so won't be a NSD.
So today's bits and pieces involve...- Request money from Vinted
- Make CC payment
- Update spreadsheet
- Sort through underwear drawer
- Post Vinted parcel
- Use coupon
- Stick trainers in the wash
- Unpick binding
- Meals from stores
- Park for free at netball

Sorry twiggy, finally caught up!
Well done on the new job, and I'm sorry about BF's parents.
Also sorry to read about ex going to prison for domestic violence. Tf you're out.
But yaaaay to being over halfway to debt free!
I think you made the right decision to tell BF to prioritise his debts and mortgage before you have to start considering the implications of him helping with yours. It's lovely of him to want to help pay for the home improvements, just make sure you're comfortable with him potentially having a claim on equity for having contributed to the value if things go wrong, which very hopefully they won't!
Proud of you for how far you've come and all you've achieved. Lunch and a beer in the sun by yourself sounded a perfect celebration of that 😊1 -
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds - it might have taken me 16 years to realise it, but I got out in the end!!!
Couple of "quick" updates for today...
I finally braved ripping out the bind off on the neckline... ended up having to rip out the entire ribbing! However, I managed to salvage most of the yarn (lots of yarn ramen!) and am back to half way through the ribbing and then will do the bind off in a bigger needle!
Realised the green bin was due for collection today, so put that out and spent 20 minutes pulling out a few more weeds!
Bad news was that I received the letter re my speeding course (naughty Twigs)! I am going to wait a week before sending it off, as although I've already put the money aside I'm concious of needing time off work to complete it when I will have only just started the job!
Speaking of which, tomorrow is my last day and yet my boss has booked in client calls for me tomorrow! So much for chilled last day! It has annoyed me though as it seems like bad client management as my boss will have to take over the matters and they're at a point where she may as well jump in now and avoid the client having to have to same conversations!!! Perhaps the clients asked if they could speak to you before you left? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1
