Sat twiddling my thumbs, watching my washing dry in natures tumble dryer whilst waiting for DWP to ring regarding CTC. Caught up and diaries and took advantage of a Black Friday deal on a couple of things. Interesting that the company who makes said products were charging more than HB. They also do a click and collect so no delivery charge either. Halfjords have rang to say my bike is ready to be picked up, hopefully FIL will be able to drop me off and I can ride it back via the allotment. I discovered a couple of small lettuces that have managed to survive the cold weather .

Whilst waiting for my lotions, potions and pills to work thought I'd pop on here.
Big birthday lunch yesterdaywent well, plenty of leftovers to have on another day plus a bucket of gravy. Will definitely have to freeze that. DH is working his side hustle today, might get wages for this before Christmas but it's doubtful.
Frugalness for yesterday
1. Used nature's tumble dryer even though the temperature was very low here all day.
2. Leftovers will feed us both another day.
3. Gained a bottle of fizz 🍾that didn't get drank
4. Free exercise with miss giddychops
5. Used the peelings and meat juices from the dinner yesterday to make a couple of meals for miss giddy.
6. Cabbage, onions, potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli and cooking apples were from the plot. Meat and celeriac were ys. Pudding🎂 from mil and wine supplied by guests. Total cost approx for 9 people plus leftovers for 2 (dinners) 2 lunches of pork sandwiches and 3 meals for miss giddy £18.
Right best get a wriggle on and cycle to the plot to dig over another small bed and check if the lettuce survived the frost.

Blommin freezing cycling to the plot, had to stop and get my gardening gloves out of the trailer as my fingers were going numb. Very frosty at the plot. Harvesterd beetroot, cleaned, dried and ready to clamp after I've been and got some sharp sand. Laid netting down on the asparagus bed to stop the foxes digging in there.
Frugalness today
1. Harvested the last of the beetroot
2. Tea was leftovers
3. Bath water saved for toilet flushing
4. Free exercise walking miss giddychops.
5. DH had leftover pork for lunch.
6. Meal plan done.
7. DW, WM and car on - cheaper time.
Need to look into where I can buy cheaper food supplements as that is the next thing to tackle price wise. It would be cheaper to buy a multi vit and min but I eat a very varied diet so don't need an all rounder.
Vitamin D - I need to take everyday (Drs advice, as even in the height of summer my levels are low. )
Folic acid - helps with b12 absorption (B12 injection every 12 weeks)
Turmeric- joints
D-mannonse - advised to take by nurse.
B12 -(tablets as injection wears off around week 10)
Probiotic yoghurt /drink helps with ibs.

Enjoying the sun before I head back home. Harvested lettuce, chard and leeks at the plot. Dug over another 2 beds, making steady progress. Hoping to pick up some more membrane tomorrow when I go to get sharp sand. Fil is finishing his cider making in the shed. DH will be very happy to see a couple of bottles of cider and couple of bottles of apple juice later today.

Beautiful sunshine ☀️today, but ground just too hard to dig after last night's frost. Pruned the apple trees and added branches to the bonfire. Been into the brassica area to get rid of dead or dying leaves. I can see alot of sprouts in my future. Right best cycle home as need to have lunch before my sister arrives.

Felt very urgh yesterday.
Frugalness for yesterday .
1) The ultimate is frugalness was that no money left my hands other than the usual bills.
2) Elderly relative paid me for cleaning their carpet (had the no thanks(me) , i insist (them) conversation)
3) Another 2 boxes of tea bags that 2 relatives had tried and didn't want.
4) Had Winter tyres put on the car (planned spend, budgeted for, but no bill yet)
5) Hmmm not sure how to word this but it is frugalness and probably won't put this on my diary again. Re-useable period products are fab I bought mine through this company https://earthwisegirls.co.uk
They also help provide free reusable pads to the girls in Kenya. For each Buy 3 Give 1 pack our customers buy, we donate an Earthwise pad to The Nasio Trust. I don't have any links with them other than as a customer.
