Oh no! Sorry to hear about the accident and lost earnings 🙁 You are more valuable than any job or bike though, so glad you have come out of it in one piece. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery x
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!
  • Leg still sore so sofa surfered for most of the day. Managed to sit out in the garden to prep the leeks that I collected the other day. Unfortunately they have been attacked by leek moth and damaged. Managed to salvage plenty though. Cooked them off and froze them for a later date.
Only money spent was the money I owed my sister for ear plugs for  🏊‍♀️. Hopefully swimming will go ahead tomorrow.

    Frugalness
1)leeks - salvaged what I could after they were damaged by leek moth caterpillars.
2)Resisted going to the shop to get goodies. Found leftover Christmas cake I made last year.
3)DH is running a 2 day course, hopefully he'll be paid before Christmas, especially since my side hustle didn't work out.

Taking bike in today. 🤞they can fix it otherwise I will have to borrow fil's tomorrow to transport 🎄 to the local church. Back and knee still sore but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Missed my bike this week, didn't realise how much I use it. Suspect petrol bill will be bigger this month.
At the Dr's later to discuss ongoing issues.

    Frugalness
    1) dad gave me some herbal tea bags he didn't like, not surprised as they are not great but will save me buying some this week.
    2) This weeks food bill was £59.67🎉
    3) ran out of gluten free gravy, but remembered I had been freezing the leftovers from various meals. (obviously what was in the jug, not off my plate)
    4) used up another body cream sample and chopped packaging in half to get to what wouldn't squeeze out.
5)used potatoes/cabbage/leeks and 🎃, from the plot this week in various meals.
6)persuaded friend to have ☕ at her house, rather than a coffee shop.

  • They can't fix my bike today as they need to order parts, so booked in for next week-going to cost about £40-reasonable I feel. Letter from CTC they want to interview me regarding the youngest. Sent email to college for offical letter regarding their ongoing course. Hopefully they will sort before date of interview. Right on with the rest of the day.

  • Been prodded and poked by NHS, tests done, potions, lotions and pills prescribed for now. Hopefully should start to feel some relief from symptoms. If not back to the GP.

  • Had a good couple of hours at the plot yesterday. Pulled up most of the dead flowers, scattered the seeds ready for next years bee restaurant and cafes. Definitely going to cover as much of the fallow ground with membrane. No heavy winter digging needed. We've all agreed we need to work smarter as we are not getting any younger. Harvested beetroot, celeriac, celery, turnips and leeks. Brought back from storage squash, onions and potatoes. Stew is on the menu. Checked the foxes hadn't dug up the garlic but found 2 large holes in the asparagus bed.
    Frugalness
    1)Tea provided by the plot.

  • Been to the plot again today to lay the membrane down, hopefully will make digging next spring easier. One of the small holders was offering free manure so made some space and they will barrow it over as and when they clear it. Will need composting for at least a year as there is still alot of straw in it. Left feeling rather tall as I had about 2 inches of mud on the bottom of my boots.
My sister and I went to the local Christmas tree festival and then went onto have something to eat.
Friends of ours texted to say they were near to one of my favourite gluten free bakery and did I want anything, a pistachio and rose doughnut is hopefully heading my way mmmmmm.

    Frugalness
    1) I wanted some large Yorkshire puddings as we were having stew for tea but the ones at the sm weren't very deep and was £2.30 for 2, so made my own.
    2) Ordered food online this week as they had several offers on stuff we often buy.
    3) Free manure.
    4) MIL texted to say she has bought pudding for Saturdays birthday bash.
    5) Tea mainly provided by the plot.

Popped up to the plot yesterday to lay more membrane down. Didn't quite cover everything but hey hoe😏. Dug over 2 very small raised beds but my arm wasn't happy.
Harvested 3 parsnips ready for the big birthday bash.

    Frugalness
    1) mortgage broker rang with good news, due to revised amount we should get mortgage easily. £30, 000 over 13 years, 3 Yr fixed deal £266 a month🎉
    2) quite a few ys items whilst out shopping £77.56 in total.
    3) 🛀 water saved to flush loo.
    4) DH has got his pay rise back dated, won't quite cover the cc bill for the 🚘 (half). Better than nothing.
    5) council has approved youngest travel allowance. Just need to ask tutor to send me days they've been in for September, October and by the time they've sent paperwork, November.
    6) tea was leftovers.

    Frugalness continues
    1) tea provided by the plot - squash risotto.
    2) found a nearby RDA that we might be able to access rather than expensive riding lessons that we had started looking at. (This would be paid  via youngest benefits).
    3) reccie to the above noticed petrol was cheaper than home town 142.9p rather than 147.9p,so filled up.
    4) cc paid off in full to avoid interest
    5) a surprise gift card from bestie, apparently just because....
6)froze what was left of the hummus after googling if I could.
