It's very odd that they are acknowledging faults that others have not been able to reproduce with either Firefox or Safari.  Are they saying that their website is incompatible with Firefox and Safari or incompatible with Firefox and Safari Add Ons that you have installed?
  • Maybe try Brave - uses Chrome engine but without the privacy issues.  I don't have any problem accessing ii using Brave

Surprised you folks aren't getting problems with Firefox and ii...  neither I nor my wife can download Contract Notes from the Document History in FF for either of our accounts.

I sent ii a secure message... they acknowledged the problem and told me I had to use Google Chrome as that is the only browser they code their website to support. I work in the software industry and that's just sloppy coding and sheer laziness... (!)
Have you tried using firefox with no plugins running or in private mode?    It could be one of the plugins is causing a problem.  Adblockers are a common cause of problems.   And one of the ABRDNs other platforms, a certain adblocker blocks part of the site as it incorrectly classes them as an advert and blocks the link.

I honestly cannot explain how it works for you.. maybe you have magic fingers, but it hasn't worked for us for many months and we are sick and tired of it.
If others are not having problems and we know the site is coded to modern standards, then have you considered that it is your configuration that could be causing the problem.

I doubt they are acknowledging it.

What are you invested in (stocks, ETFS, ITs, OEICs)?

Are you still in the accumulation phase?

We invest in 2 funds: Fundsmith and a Vanguard index tracker.

My wife and I both have Trading and ISA accounts.

Seven-figure sums / not regularly trading / about to retire.
I would consider placing the SIPPs with AJB (depending on what the 'Vanguard Index tracker' really is, e.g. ETF or OEIC), as the charges for holding non-OEICs (ETFs, ITs, stocks) is capped at £10pm / £120pa.

I would probably place the ISAs / GIAs with iWeb.

I've been with AJ Bell for many years and very happy with their offering, website and service in general.

Me too.  The OP is claiming they do:

Not as good as my wife.

  • Hi,
Anyway, thanks to several recommendations on here we have today opened accounts with iWeb and submitted the transfer requests.

Bye-bye Interactive Investor. You used to be good, but no longer.
did you manage to do the transfer electronically?
I'm trying to transfer from II, says can be done electronically, but can't get past print or send me a form.

Haven't checked back here in a while since I am now with iWeb and all is good. I performed the transfer seamlessly online.

The UI isn't as clean as Interactive Investor, but I can live with that since all functionality works well in Safari.

And for those who are sceptical and have questioned whether what I said about ii having confirmed the problems with Safari and that their website being built for Chrome...

    and...
