Since the Abrdn takeover things have gone downhill... the website 'refresh' was a total disaster: it's terrible. It's now impossible to get transaction history downloads or even contract notes using Safari or Firefox (I refuse to use Chrome due to its very poor data privacy/security). Furthermore, ii's customer service is appalling (they take ages to respond and when they do it's with scripted tosh that doesn't answer the actual question).

I need to switch platforms. But which one?

I'm not picky, and really only have 3 criterion:

  1. Website works well with Safari and/or Firefox
  2. Provider is reputable, not likely to go bust
  3. Low cost (so not HL)

Recommendations please...?

What are you invested in (stocks, ETFS, ITs, OEICs)?

Are you still in the accumulation phase?

iWeb is works fine with Firefox and I expect Safari too. It is owned by Lloyds bank, and is only superficially different from the Lloyds, BOS and Halifax brands of the same service. It is also cheaper than II.

We invest in 2 funds: Fundsmith and a Vanguard index tracker.

My wife and I both have Trading and ISA accounts.

Seven-figure sums / not regularly trading / about to retire.

Charges of 0.25% of our portfolio's is pretty high-cost though.

Thanks - do you know if they play nicely with Safari and/or Firefox? (No info on their website...)

iWeb will cost you nothing. On 7 figure sums it will make a big difference!

I use II (and iWeb) with Firefox, and have not had any issues with either, so far.
