    Can anyone help please?  :)
You seem to be following the guidance in the first few paragraphs of the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

What help are you looking for?
The idea of the NEWBIES thread is that it answers all known questions. Clearly that's an ambitious, maybe impossible, objective. What is your unanswered question?

Sorry Keith,  I just wanted some reassurance I think, that I haven't made a mess of it. I tend to do that....a lot!

Your letter is on the right track,  keep going,  only email, the info@ one will do and quote their ref

Obviously once sent, you really don't have to do much else until you receive an actual claim.

Read the fourm for threads around their response to your explicit and clear question about VAT on debt recovery costs. There is a concern that these equally egregious 'legal' firms are dressing the extra 70 quid up as parking charges, even when they clearly state in their responses the are costs for debt recovery, therefore liable for VAT. Thus it's fair to report this activity to HMRC with your concern.

Thank you I will email it now. I tweaked it a bit and added a few words from  a Gatwick airport claim and hoped I didn't mess it up.  :)

Hi, I am updating my thread to show that I did receive a response from DCBL and I've now returned from holiday to find court papers that need to be attended to ASAP! My brain is old and slow, gets confused easily and needs lots of time.Early dementia  but I will carry on regardless and get there in the end. I will not give in to these scammers. I will post the letter from Emily Maloney at DCBL, and the particulars of claim. I have to use the laptop to type the posts and my phone to post the pics. I don't know how to do it all in one place so please be patient with me  :dizzy. Could admin please edit the title to include DCBL please, it might help someone else.

With a Claim Issue Date of 5th November, you have until Monday 25th November to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 9th December 2024 to file a Defence.
That's nearly three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

You can update the thread title whenever you like.
Just go into edit on your opening post and look around.
    Thank you Keith, much appreciated
