    Not the same make unfortunately.
But it took many goes over a period of time and frustration. Then the clips just popped open.
Same with the bulb compartment. A lot of goes then came off easily one day.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

  • Ok, have tried the hammer, and some scrubbing as well and no joy. Funny, I can’t find any YouTube videos that cover this type of filter, not sure if that is because it is old etc. I will try again tomorrow. I’m really baffled, as I took it off once before to change the filter and cannot for the life of me remember how I did it

    Lol! Now that is funny!
Any chance of a pic of the whole caboodle so we can try an ID? Even if it's from before interweb time :-)
  • @ThisIsWeird I know, I am kicking myself! It was a few months ago- it must’ve not been a hassle else I’d remember it. Here’s a few pics- it was hard to get a decent pic as had to crouch under the hood  :D

Looking at the instructions for mine which is similar but with differently placed catches it says press and lower the front.
I think there may be a clue. It doesn't just open when you move the catches as you expect. You need to press the catches and pull down the cover. Just the thiin front.
So you need 3 hands  :D
But goodness knows I managed it somehow as you obviously did.
Bit scarey expecting it to drop down with a crash but it doesn't which is a revelation.

Do switch off at the wall switch too.

Changing the bulb is a whole other challenge but I have instructions for that when the time comes.
Use the new low watt ones that are out now if you have the old filament ones. I'm going to use one only shortly so I have a cheap kitchen light through winter.

Ah, so it's an integrated type?
    This fellow? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tecnowind-Integrated-extractor-fan-Cooker/dp/B00DTU6HZU/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8

I'm on my phone, so awkward, but there's a model number there - B00DTU6HZU - that can be searched for along with 'instructions'. Or, ask in the Q&A section of that Amazon page.

    Edit - no luck!

    Getting warmer...

Looks the same - similar clips at least?

Scroll to the bottom - link to instructions.
  • @ThisIsWeird thank you for going to the effort of hunting both of those down- I had found them when I was doing a deeper dig this evening. It looks like you push the clips up to remove the grill. There must be an issue with the mechanisms on mine, because they are not budging. Maybe when I reinserted it when I removed it the first time I did something wrong. A bit stuck as to what to do now

There's an instruction manual here, but it just says push both of the catches: https://www.free-instruction-manuals.com/pdf/p4794074.pdf
