What time do they do start doing this on food and produce???

I would like to bag some bargains at my local Asda to stock up on when family visit later in the week.

I don't know about asda but I was in my local sainsburys a lunch time today and they were starting to reduce all the seasonal items including tins of biscuits and stuff like that. the girl on checkout says they will be doing it all day today and tomorrow to get rid of it because the sale starts on boxing day.
Suppose most of the supermarkets will be doing the same especially tommorrow. Hope this helps

Our local Tesco opens at Midnight tonight and shuts at 8pm so I guess there will be bargains through out the day, I'll be going earlyish, hope the in-store Starbucks is open.

I am addicted and do it at least a couple of evenings a week

Our Asda has done some reductions from yesterday incorporating two days dates but tomorrow they have to get rid of all fresh products dated 24th, 25th and 26th .......... unfortunately they are so busy though there hasnt been much except bread reduced as yet

2 organic turkeys reduced from £50  something to just under £30

as they close at 6 tomorrow and the staff have been told to start clearing off and cleaning from 2 I expect the bulk of the reductions will be then

I read on another post that Asda has started a 50% of George clothing!

So that will be me getting ready for a game of "bumpy trolley" and "find that car parking space" tommorow at my local Asda!

  • It depends on the licensing laws of the store but if it is a 24 hour then it shold be fine at 5 am.

  • My OH works at Asda, and was working till 4.30pm today.
The manager there has instructed the reductions to be done whilst they're closed ready for re-opening at 1min past midnight tonight.
She doesn't know the size of the reductions, but the idea behind it is so they don't miss anything whilst the store is jammed packed during the daytime tomorrow.
Hope this helps those night owls out there...

My Tesco (Musselburgh) have started reducing all the fresh meat stuff like turkeys, stuffing, goose, chipolatas etc that were coded to the 26th. 30-50% off mostly. They've also got 30-50% reductions on the specifically Christmas boxes of biscuits etc and were stacking all the crackers strategically near the entrance, though they hadn't posted the reductions on there yet.
