Has anyone encountered this issue that could provide some advice
I was booking a flight from Expedia LHR to YYZ with BA from the 18th of June to the 1st of July (Let's call this "Trip A") and went through the whole payment process clicked 'pay now' and then got an error message along the lines of can't complete booking, flights are no longer available.
So then I tried again but searched for different dates this time 11th June to 24th June (Let's call this "Trip B") again with BA went through the payment process all okay this time got my confirmation email with the Itinerary number and Booking Number.
A couple of days later when I checked on my BA account I had both trips A and B showing as I had provided my BA Membership number during the booking process and I have been charged 853.02GBP for both trips on my credit card. Whereas on my Expedia account, it is only showing Trip B
When I try to explain to Expedia they are asking for an Itinerary number for Trip A which I can't provide since it's not supposed to have gone through and shouldn't exist. How should I go about getting Trip A refunded and removed?
If Expedia continue to provide no practical remedy you might explain the situation to your credit card provider, with evidence, to request a chargeback.
