What does *OP mean?

In the ow of information about a user in each post, sometimes *OP is shown in a magenta background.
Curious to know what this means?

For example in your post just now, along the top of the post it says:Name: MisslayedPosts: 13362Then some badges.Then the label Senior ambassadorNow sometimes next to the badges or perhaps next to a label like Forumite, it will say *OP which is white text ona a magenta background.That is what I was aking about.Could it mean the OP is currently logged in?Thanks in advance..0

Look at my post then look at your own. We may still be both logged in (I certainly am) but your posts on this thread are the only ones with op next to them. It doesn't say it on the very first post as obviously that must have been done by the original poster. If you have posted on someone elses thread then your post will not have OP next to it.

Yes - that's what it is. It makes it easier to pick out replies from the thread starter (original poster ... OP) when scanning down a thread.Jenni x0
