Well most of this thread has had a reply, just waiting for it to proceed, on facebook there is a ton of people who have had absolutely no correspondence from Octopus at all, I also posted that link as it has all the contact details for the scheme for all suppliers, so may help MSE members.

I'm not sure who I should contact. I started it through Shell Energy but now it's in the process of going over to Octopus.0

Received a call from Dyson Energy Services today regarding my Octopus application. Was just about to leave for work and take little one to nursery so they gave me a number to call back tomorrow.

Isn't this all about the lack of trained and qualified installers? Octopus can only work with such or they would be way open to any complaints........
Its another soundbite in my opinion from the present government.....0 -

Me again.
So, after Dyson Energy Services paid me a visit on 9 Jan, I finally received a call from them today. They told me I would not be able to continue with the Great British Insulation Scheme because the EPC on my property is rated C.
News to me, as I purposefully had an EPC done in September, which rated my property as D and it specifically mentioned that I would benefit from both cavity and loft insulation. The report is still available on the EPC register and I have made no improvements to my property in the past four months. Also, part of the GBIS application process involves checking EPC ratings, so I wouldn't have gotten this far had it been rated a C.
Seems that Dyson carried out their own EPC on the day, which I didn't know they were doing, and the report makes some assumptions.
So, after weeks of waiting for apparently nothing, Dyson says I can now go through a different scheme for insulation called Connected for Warmth. Apparently the insulation is still free, but I will be back to the start again and not knowing how much longer it will be before any work is carried out.
What a frustrating experience. I've messaged one of the CEO's at Octopus and even he seems confused by it.

BEIS acknowledged my application on 15 January, but still no date for a survey from Octopus. Overpromising and underdelivering, again.0

Had this email this morning which relates to this scheme (I applied for my parents via Ovo so slightly different to the OP):We are contacting you in relation to your Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) enquiry and subsequent retrofit assessment completed by our third party retrofit assessment and coordination company.
We would like to initially start by apologising for the delays you have experienced since the completion of your retrofit assessment. To ensure that the assessment recommends the correct energy efficiency improvements for your property it is imperative that all information is complete and meets the required standards of GBIS and PAS2035.
We are therefore carrying out an audit of assessments to ensure that this is the case, which unfortunately has resulted in the delay you have experienced. We are working with our third-party assessment company to expedite this and will be in contact with you as soon as we can to provide an update on whether your property is suitable to receive a GBIS measure.
We appreciate your patience whilst we work through this, and wish to reassure you that we will be in contact to advise you of the next steps as soon as possible and that GBIS funding has been ringfenced for your property.
We also understand that you may no longer be interested in moving forward with the enquiry and would therefore appreciate it if you could contact us to let us know if you wish to cancel your enquiry by emailing eco@effective-energy.co.uk or contacting us on 01909 303 205
