the issue with the calls is a particular pain since obviously doctors, hairdressers don’t call via WhatsApp.
Your mobile phones need to be able to use Wi-Fi calling AND it must be turned on on the mobile too. Your SIM must also offer Wi-Fi calling. I doubt any of your mobiles have Wi-Fi calling from how you describe them. You'll need to invest in a decent mobile and check it has Wi-Fi calling.

I think the most worrying thing is you're receiving calls from hairdressers. Is this random or do you run a business selling hairdressers' supplies?

Re your wifi problem. if you are seeing other networks over wifi ( neighbours) and they are showing a strong signal compared to yours, Then try changing your routers wifi band ( say from band 1 to band 2 ). This cured my intermittent wifi disconnects, where my neighbours wifi signal was actually stronger than my own.

Sounds an idea, and from what I’ve googled all I need to do is type the routers IP address into the address bar of my browser. But which address?  In settings I have a wi-fi address, under IPV4 a single address and under IPV6 there are 3

The router IP and login details should be on a sticker or pull-out card on the router.

Most common is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 but check

Username is often admin and the password will be on the above.

Input the router IP etc and am presented with a page detailing my routers details and can see various options of which one should enable me to manage the channels. However, type in username admin but nothing happens regardless of the password. There’s mention made of code being encrypted but cannot progress any further after this??
And @M25, investing in newer mobiles is uppermost on our present wish lists

The login details should be printed somewhere on the router's label.
