New build FTTP can we have a Landline?

Another untruth. Traditional telephones via the twisted pair are being discontinued at the end of 2025. But the twisted pairs are NOT. If you are not in an area served by full fibre (FTTP) you will continue to receive your broadband over twisted pair for the foreseeable future, be it FTTC or ADSL and can use VOIP digital phone over that. In your case though in new build FTTP with no provision for landline twisted pair it will not be possible to have it installed. In general they will not be installing twisted pair where it is not already.0

With an adapter you can use a standard landline phone on a VOIP line. The only differences will be that if they turn off the router/it breaks then the phone goes down or if there is a power cut. Outside of that they'll see no difference from a landline unless they want to.0
