British Gas, limits use of the 11 to 4 half price electricity on Sundays to customers with a smart meter only.
Should be branded as DISCRIMINATION to those who cannot get a smart meter...
typical scam to get everyone on a smart meter, so they can monitor for free, and if a high user, suddenly drops to a much lower use, will be investigated, criminal and piracy are watch words for this rip off gas company.
It is THEY, that need to be investigated.

Please don't leave this at 1 post and never return I want to know more
Have a look at their other post..

I joined this scheme in November 23.
my first bill after that (18/12/23) gave me credits for the 3rd & 10th of December, Less than £1 each time.
Just got my January bill and there are no further credits shown.
Contacted BG on chat to be told that I have to register each month to get the credits and have therefore lost out on the last 5 weeks. I am sure that's not right!!! Now waiting a reply to my email to BG questioning this.

TBH the credits are hardly worth the effort. My wife is immobilised at the moment and trying to put at least 2 loads of washing through the machine, tumble drier and airier as well as saving all the washing up for the dishwasher on a Sunday etc etc has on the 2 occasions saved less that a £1 each time. Not worth the effort trying to cram all this into 5 hours despite my usage saying I have used 14kw as opposed to a daily average of 7. Time better spent at the local for a couple of pints
    UPDATE, 9th February.
Re registered for "Super Save Sunday"  got an emailed acknowledgement and heard nothing more so I phoned BG.
After a long wait I was told that "Super Save Sunday" is not available at my post code, they could not give me an explanation as to why all of a sudden it is not available.

Thats odd because i only registered once. I get a txt every Saturday to remind me then another Sunday. I've been getting emails monthly telling me how much I was credited.

The only save scheme I've seen you need yo register each time is the British Gas weekday evening ones.

I was getting text messages on a Sunday, but no emails about credits. Somehow I also missed the first two credits on my bill (3rd & 10th December).
With so much going on at the moment I didn't realise the texts had stopped until I read your reply.
I have read the chat transcript from yesterday and it still makes no sense. I dont think the guy ay BG really knew or understood the issue.
He advised me to email the BG NEP (New Energy platform) as he had no access to "Peaksave platform". Have done that so lets see what happens now.

Anybody else left BG but was registered for Peak Save still getting their account credited?  I left BG at beginning of Dec but still get texts about the Peak Saver and an email today saying how much I had earned In Dec from the scheme.  When I check my account I see that they have credited my account for over £6 for Peak Save Winter Credit, Peak Save Sunday and Peak Save Bonus for Dec and for some in January.  Always been impressed by BG admin 😂.  Still happy to have it if I can find a way getting them to pay it out to me even though my account says Closed.  Its wet and miserable today so not doing much so I might try chat and see if one of the numpties highly informed agents on there will arrange for the credit to be paid out to me (luckily I have kept the DD active).
