I don't know where to post this query: Has anyone seen / investigated Brit Gas' new Peaksave tariff? Half price electricity 11 am to 4 pm. The opposite of what one would expect. Too good to be true?Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know1 -
Better than nothing but it would have only equaled Tracker for 5 hours last Sunday.Telegraph_Sam said:I don't know where to post this query: Has anyone seen / investigated Brit Gas' new Peaksave tariff? You generally find Sunday to be the best day to be on Tracker anyway: demand is much lower so prices are driven downwards. At two points over the summer it was down to 8p a unit on two Sundays.Telegraph_Sam said:I don't know where to post this query: Has anyone seen / investigated Brit Gas' new Peaksave tariff? And remember its half price from the cap. For the sake of 5 hours on one day I wont be budging anywhere. Especially not to British Gas.1 -

British Gas, limits use of the 11 to 4 half price electricity on Sundays to customers with a smart meter only.Should be branded as DISCRIMINATION to those who cannot get a smart meter...
typical scam to get everyone on a smart meter, so they can monitor for free, and if a high user, suddenly drops to a much lower use, will be investigated, criminal and piracy are watch words for this rip off gas company.
It is THEY, that need to be investigated.0 -
Yes when I got all enthused I didn't realize that the deal was limited to Sunday. Too good to be true I fear.la531983 said:

People bandy about claims of discrimination all too readily when it's nothing of the sort - unless you are prevented from taking part in an offer owing to your race, disability, or other protected characteristic then it isn't remotely discrimination.
Business put all sorts of conditions on special offers all the time, and having a smart meter is now a condition of this one. That's not discrimination or 'criminal', that's just life.3 -

I have registered for the peak save scheme and usually receive a text to advise it will be starting between 11am and 4pm today. However nothing received. Has anyone received their text today?0
