  • Got my text today too. Done two loads of washing, cooked a chicken to go into my salads for work lunches for the week & ran a 2kw fan heater for 30 mins to settle the dog (he just likes it). 

    I don’t remember ever joining it, but I’ve always been on it.

    British Gas, limits use of the 11 to 4 half price electricity on Sundays to customers with a smart meter only.
    Should be branded as DISCRIMINATION to those who cannot get a smart meter...
    typical scam to get everyone on a smart meter, so they can monitor for free, and if a high user, suddenly drops to a much lower use, will be investigated, criminal and piracy are watch words for this rip off gas company.
    It is THEY, that need to be investigated.

    Apparently BG are cutting down sending out text messages to remind customers of when peak save starts.  Not sure what the criteria is to receive a text.

    No you don’t but strange why some customers get the text and others do not.

    Hi,
    I had one on Sunday at 10.07, to remind me, and one at 16.06 to tell me it was finished and thanked me for taking part.
    Must be a valued customer.

    Same. & I get one on Saturday to tell me Peak Save Sunday is in 24 hours time. I’m not a high energy user, so maybe they’re only reminding the people who don’t cost them as much money!
