Changes were made to the forum late last night and now the pics are not displaying in the same way. This has resulted in the "Cutting Down Alcohol" and "No-Spend Days" challenges in the Debt-Free forums now looking like a confusing mess. Using the "post-text-align-left" tag in HTML has ceased to work and now instead of aligning left pics are sitting in the middle of the page. I have managed to partly solve this for the No-Spend Days challenge by putting the list of forumites taking part into a quote box, but this solution has not worked for the Cutting Down Alcohol challenge. Can someone please look at this, and if possible fix, or tell me what html tags to use to fix this?0

Hi @cathybird
That's very frustrating!
I'm not aware of any changes that were made at that time.
I've just done a little experiment with some of the pics from your post and I seem to have managed to left-align!
and without editing the HTML
What I did -- Put cursor before the text line.
- Then click the image and use the Align Left button ( )
Could you try that and see if it works for you?- 7 days =

hi Stephen, thanks for your response. I have tried what you suggested on this post. The list of emojis in the first part of the post were aligning left on this particular post anyway. As soon as you get into the list of people doing the challenge in the second part of the post, you can see that the pics are all over the place, and trying to turn them into a list and aligning left did not help. They were sitting correctly all in a row earlier on Friday. If you go into edit mode, they are sitting correctly, and when you come back out of it, they are not in the right place. Nothing seems to work except putting them into a quote box.1

@cathybird
i've just split these comments into a new thread.
Thanks for trying out that solution.
I'm afraid that since we're using a legacy editor, we're unsupported and there's not much chance that there will be anything done to change the way the posts are formatted. If we change to the new editor in the future, there may be more options including table formatting that might help in this situation.
The best option might be see if there is any way at all to display this information that works well.

EDIT: Hmm I can see how this way would make posts rather long!Join the MSE Forum

hi Stephen, thanks for splitting these comments off. The thing is that the lists were working perfectly until Friday night. When the July update happened the forum team emailed me and told me they had listened to my concerns and edited one of my posts to make the images work. I had a look and they had added a <div class="post-text-align-left"> tag to the images to make them line up in a row next to each of the names of the people taking part in the challenges. I adopted this and it worked brilliantly for the next two months, up until Friday night. Late Friday night all of the images bounced into the centre of the page, as you see. So someone absolutely must have made a change to the site at that time, because I didn't alter the html. If whatever the change was can be identified, perhaps this can be fixed?
