EU roaming

Just checking which mobile companies still have free EU roaming as have to move from Plusnet. Per MSE page,Talkmobile charges £2.25 per day, £10 for 8 days or £15 for 15 days. However per the Sim Sherpa website,Talkmobile has brought back free roaming with 5Gb limit. That seems to be correct when I check Talkmobile's own website.

  • Im with RWG,Iv just got back from a month in spain, i had the £20 bundle for 200gb, worked perfectly,on 5g all the time, with spains movistar.
I could use all the 200gb for no extra charge, and no £2 a day charge for roaming either.
    Smaller bundles are also availible

I think all lebara bundles include eu and India roaming.

Although their definition of roaming doesn't suit everyone, thru define roaming as data access and calls back to UK, calls to non-uk numbers still come under international allowance even if you are in that country.

  • O2 still do, and it’s still “proper” free roaming with no daily charges.

My wife and I both switched to O2 from Three after the latter’s shenanigans and mistakes on a recent holiday.

O2 also include the Channel Islands in their free roaming coverage. It's amazing how many companies don't.

But not proper free roaming after 25gb
  • Re the Channel Islands, included in O2 roaming, I've I found out that Sky mobile actually considers the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Ascension Island (not sure I'll be going that far!!!!) as part of the UK and not roaming at all. As the Channel Islands and Isle of Man have +44 dialling codes you would think they were part of the UK.
  • Further to previous comments, I have now found that even if you have the SKY £2 per day roaming pass, that only covers calls back to the UK.  If, for instance, you are in Spain and call a Spanish number, you will be charged 55 per minute.  Does anyone know if other operators with 'free' roaming implement such a charge?

1P Mobile charge 1P per minute to call a Spanish number or any phone in their Zone 1 when you are roaming in Spain.

    See https://www.1pmobile.com/international-and-roaming
and enter Spain in the search box.

  • O2 is fantastic for EU roaming. As well as channel islands they also include Switzerland (most others don't). There is no speed cap, right now I am in Hungary and getting 700Mbps+ on 5G. Also free incoming calls in many other countries (e.g. Turkey, USA, etc). 25GB is plenty to be honest. If you're downloadong some super large files then do it from wifi.
