Plum free £25 for saving £500 for 6 months.

I've just spotted this offer on the homepage. Has anybody used a similar offer in the past?
Clicking through simply takes you to the app store to get the app.
I've installed it and created an account but there's nothing I can see relating to the £25.
So I am assuming it is working via some sort of tracker / referal link.
Assuming it has tracked correctly, is my thinking below correct?
To get the £25:
1. Deposit £500 into the "primary pocket" (no interest easy acces account)
2. Move it to an easy access savings "pocket" at 3.51%
3. Wait 6 months & 10 days, after which you will get credited with £25 plus you will have 6 months worth of interest on the £500 at 3.51%
Or does moving the money into the easy access savings pocket exclude it from the £25 offer?
Many thanks

The T&Cs for the offer are here
https://blog.withplum.com/plum-bonus-with-money-saving-expert-promotion-september-2023/
Says that it is OK to hold the £500 in the interest bearing account.
No idea of the mechanism for linking the MSE link click with the app signup, be interested if anyone could describe how it works.
Clicking on the link when using a phone goes to the app store entry for Plum, when using a PC then it goes to the Plum website which features a banner puffing the MSE offer and a QR-code linking to the app store.
Do both these routes link the signup with the offer? Any way to tell if the signup has been successfully linked?1 -
A link? I don't see anything at https://withplum.com/
MSE:New. Free £25 for saving £500 for six months
And MSE link doesn't work either for me - "open an account via our link* "

The link is fine, both from the MSE site and your posted link.
Have you got redirects turned off in your browser? Browser guard turned on? Try another browser?0 -
So, is it MSE homepage or Plum homepage?
I'm on Samsung tablet ATM, and yes, MSE's link directs me to Google Play (or to a blank page if I open it in a new tab).0 -

I'm on Samsung tablet ATM, and yes, MSE's link directs me to Google Play (or to a blank page if I open it in a new tab).If so, it's absolutely unclear how Plum can track this for the bonus.3. To be eligible for The Promotion reward, a participating customer must:
3.1 Download the Plum app using our Money Saving Expert (“MSE”) partner link;
I'm on a PC now (FF) and the link takes me to https://withplum.com/partner/plum-bonus-mse-promotion-september-2023?clickref=1101lxPkzX58&is_retargeting=true&clickid=1101lxPkzX58&c=msemse&pid=partnerize_int&af_click_lookback=30d&af_channel=affiliate&af_reengagement_window=30d
- where I can scan the QR code directing me to Google Play. Again, how on earth will Plum know that I used their MSE link to download the app?
I already had similar negative experience once with TCB and Chip - went through TSB to download Chip app. Hardly a surprise that the cashback wasn't tracked. Now I regret using TCB instead of RAF route with a RAF code.

I too asked the question upthread about how an affiliate link is distinguished from a non-affiliate. Bit techy for the Savings board but as far as I recall you can't pass parameters/data between apps on Android devices unlike open browser tabs on Windows when you can use cookies.
Re your Chip/TCB experience - Just opened a Tide account (app-based money card) for a £75 signup bribe. There is also a TCB £80 cashback offer for the same signup. The way I did this was to go to the TCB website and follow their link to the Tide website then their link to Google Play.
You can check on the TCB site that the visit to Tide has been "recorded". After a week, no cashback showing as tracked, I've raised a claim with TCB.
As ever, I've assumed that as with all TCB/QuidCo deals it's only a "maybe", but since this one is a significant amount I will try harder than usual to secure it.0 -

Refer-A-FriendYou can check on the TCB site that the visit to Tide has been "recorded". After a week, no cashback showing as tracked, I've raised a claim with TCB.The same with my Chip. After 8 months I lost hope - still "Waiting for Retailer" (A 'Nudge' sent in May to TCB - they are useless in this respect).I'm no expert, but I don't see how a link can bet traced between visiting a site and then downloading an app from Google Play and using it to open an account.

I dunno about installing an app, but I've definitely had cashback track through app clicks from TopCashback in the past. Clicking the link on Topcashback generally takes you to the googleplay page, you press the "open" button on googleplay to open the app, and purchases have indeed tracked.

Installed the app through MSE link - fingers crossed. Deposited £500.Can anybody explain me how DDs work here? The deposit was made via Open Banking and there is no any signs of a new DD in my linked bank account.0
