Anyone managed to open one online? I applied on Tuesday and was told to print out a form, sign it and send photos of my ID and a photo of me holding the ID which I've tried to do but still not heard anything back.
All savings providers will sometimes ask for such info, if the electronic identity checks fail for some reason, or maybe they even do extra checks at random.

Yes, I opened one on Tuesday quite easily, totally online, and transferred in money from an existing Coventry ISA at the same time. But, of course, I am an existing member and it sounds as though you are not. ID checks may hold things up, particularly if these coundn't be done electronically. When you say "send photos ...", do you mean send by post or upload them to their web site?
I was given the option to either post or email them to a .theconventry email address and quote my application number which I did but got no confirmation email back.

It all seemed a bit unusual having to fill in a form online and then print it out, sign it, scan it and then email and take photos but I suppose that's the way they do things there. Just don't want to miss out on the rate! Will perhaps give them a call on Monday then.
  • This worked for me to immediately transfer old Coventry Limited ISA Online 4 to new Coventry 4 Access ISA.
Apply for new ISA as an existing customer - as part of application click "no" to external ISA transfer - complete application. Log back in again as normal and you will see your new ISA account. Scroll to your old Coventry ISA and click  "ISA transfer" for it - click the old ISA to transfer out of and click the new ISA to transfer in. You will see a new balance for your old ISA which includes up to date interest - confirm this transfer. They will email the details of the transfer.
No need to use forms or phone up.

I have a fixed ISA maturing soon. Can I transfer it to this and then further transfer part of it to another fixed?

    Hello, stupid question alert!

I want to open one of these ISA's and transfer funds from another Cash ISA into it (I have a second cash ISA but it's locked until next April).

Can I also transfer funds from a stocks and shares ISA into this one does anyone know? Also, in terms of the number of transactions allowed, is it only withdrawals that are limited or can I transfer from another ISA or add funds from my current account as many times as I like?

I cannot see anything on the Coventry site to confirm yes or no to SS transfers in but they do have a standard SS transfer form inwards, I cannot see why it would exclude this account. Also, on Moneyfacts, it shows the information below.

Stocks and shares ISA transfer request (coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk)

It is specifically withdrawals that are limited to 4.

Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes,  thank you and no.

    Thank you.

How long does the transfer take to show up on your account? Just opened two of these and transferred my existing two Coventry ISAs into them
