Thanks Searcher2. Had a quick look at your link and it looks like you can get one around the same price anyway. Got 3 yr warranty so will see what comes. It's so time consuming trying to find the right tv, it's a minefield and there are pros and cons with every tv so hopefully I'll be happy with it. Happy Christmas

had my lg 50" tv delivered today from next. checked the model number on the box and found they have sent me the old model and not the new model. its got pc55 on the box rather then the newer pc56.

spoke to next, there saying that the model delivered is the correct one. i have said that its not the model i ordered. they are going to look in to it and ring me on monday. i'm not sure what the difference is in the two models

if you look at the 2 pictures comparing the 2, the 55 seems to have a white band going across it, whereas the 56 has a black band....presumably, and with it being just a single number difference, I'd expect the number to just indicate that (and maybe other) cosmetic differences rather than spec differences

Yep I have a Samsung 50 inch DLP had it for 2 years now and its a top quality picture. Had to replace the bulb last week tho £135. ;-(

heya, can I ask where you got the bulb from. I have the Sony 50" 3LCD 2010ATNS set, about a year old now, so no doubt it'll be due for a bulb change in the relatively near future......just wondering where the best places to get them from are as I'm sure some sites try for 200+quid.

Also, did your bulb just go completely, or did it gradually fade in strength and colour?
