Get your son a Pixel 7a, it's about £320 now and is a much better phone than the iPhone SE - this isn't a criticism of iPhones BTW, just the SE.

Apple just dropped the iPhone Mini 13 with no replacement, only 6.1" & larger screens current production now - small screen phones don't sell well.
You can get ~5.9/6.0/6.1" Androids too.

it was only a few years ago you could get quite a few mini versions. nokia had a 1 series, samsung used to do mini versions. its not that i want a small screen, just a phone suitable for smaller hands.
