Monzo Cashback
Comments

A tip for anyone who isnt likely to want to spend a substantial amount in Sainsburys, Asda or Morrisons in the next few days - buy a giftcard with an amount on it, and you will get both the normal 2% and the top up 5 or 7% if you activate that offer also.
Monzo wont know what you have purchased and will assign the cashback in the normal way.

Cashback not showing for me. Instead, they are offering me a loan of up to £25k, at 21.7% APR. It's unclear to me why they think I would want a loan, and an overpriced one at that.

Spar don't set any pricing, it's a symbol group, pricing is set by the proprietor; what you're saying is not unlike 'Post Offices are a good place to buy biros'.[Deleted User] said:
Waitrose isn't that expensive if your buy their Essentials range and offers plus you get a free hot drink to enjoy.la531983 said:
I would never do a shop in either, I am not made of money 😂Bazzalona13295 said:
They have done Spar plus Waitrose online.la531983 said:
Just been looking at it and the max you can get from that particular offer is £30 cashback, so £1500 spend between now and the end of November.Rob5342 said:It looks similar to the way Halifax do it with a selection of different offers you can choose from that each last for a certain time period. The 2% supermarket one on mine has two months left.
The £200 max per month is for everything combined, which would take some doing as its retailer specific.
Halifax has never included supermarkets AFAIK, so it makes it much more appealing. Bet you don't have to wait for weeks for the cashback either.
In terms of local shops, Spars are usually fairly competitive and have decent quality.
Waitrose Essentials range is good but it's not as cheap as the value ranges in all the other supermarkets; and in general Waitrose are most definitely quite a bit more across the board.0 -
Ive never found anything in a Spar decent value tbh, I would certainly do no form of shop in there. I recently stayed on Anglesey, the nearest two supermarkets were the Spar in Beaumaris and the Waitrose on Menai Bridge, we made a point of going elsewhere before we got onto the island.WillPS said:

Opinions clearly vary about Spar.1 -
Regardless of what the offers are, where exactly do they appear on the app?
I don't have any 🤣0 -

Seems not everyone has them yet, and you will get a push notification (if switched on) and an email anyway.1 -
I get them on the main app screen under my pots. They sent me an email to say they were available too.Bazzalona13295 said:Regardless of what the offers are, where exactly do they appear on the app?

Fair enough, I've been lucky with other things recently so can't complain.la531983 said:

The full list of current offers. All last for 12 more days, except the first one which lasts until the 30th November. The first one can be stacked with subsequent ones (so the first and the second one used together will give you 9% cashback on that transaction in Morrisons).
The supermarket ones are not valid in their petrol stations, although with Tesco and Waitrose you have the gift card/voucher workaround at least if you are desperate to get the 2%:

The cashback offer is not universal. Neither myself nor the 3 friends/family members who use Monzo have got it
