Had an email about it now.  £200 can be earned in any 28 day period.
So at 2% cashback that's a spend of £10,000 to get the maximum cashback every 4 weeks. Well it's doable, but I'll have to switch from Aldi to Waitrose. Anything in the T&Cs about how long this promotion will continue?
To be fair its much better than Chase where once you spend £1500 now thats it, no more cashback, and this is double the payback rate without the one off additions (there are one time use 5% off Sainsburys and 7% Morrisons ones in there, and you can stack it on the 2% one too). I do a lot of my spending in Asda as its almost on the next street, and I work near an Aldi.
Also means I am less likely to max my Chase out now if I can divert supermarket cashback onto another card, I am usually £1500 and done by the final week of a given month.

It says it expires 30th November for the 2% cashback one, presumably will be renewed then or replaced by another booster offer.
All of the other "offers" are 13 days left, so look like they are regularly reviewed.

Its been in beta for couple months seems like they started giving more people access, its on the Monzo forums if you want to learn more.
  • So am I right in thinking if I've not had any e-mails about it and can't see it on the app its probably not going to happen in my case?

It looks similar to the way Halifax do it with a selection of different offers you can choose from that each last for a certain time period. The 2% supermarket one on mine has two months left.

Just been looking at it and the max you can get from that particular offer is £30 cashback, so £1500 spend between now and the end of November.

The £200 max per month is for everything combined, which would take some doing as its retailer specific.

Halifax has never included supermarkets AFAIK,  so it makes it much more appealing. Bet you don't have to wait for weeks for the cashback either.

I went to Asda today and the cashback is showing already, it looks like it will be available in a few days. With Halifax it was the next month. It always amazes me how the old fashioned banks can be so far behind with things when they've been in business for so much longer.

I would never do a shop in either, I am not made of money 😂

Waitrose isn't that expensive if your buy their Essentials range and offers plus you get a free hot drink to enjoy.
In terms of local shops, Spars are usually fairly competitive and have decent quality.

You should be getting your Monzo cashback pretty much instantly. Mine had come through yesterday between paying and walking back to the car. And it is available to use/transfer etc., at that point.
