E.on Next has launched an energy deal for existing customers that tracks the Price Cap for a year but with a discount of around 3% – so for someone on that mythical ‘typical use’ the discount is around £50 a year. That makes it currently one of the cheapest tariffs available. However, as the Price Cap changes, so too will this 'Next Pledge' tariff and this means prices could go up, as well as down – though it will always be cheaper than the Price Cap.
