Oh !!!!!!!! ordered on the 10th, dispatched 17th. Strange thing is I ordered a dvd same day, estimated delivery 12th jan and its already here!!!!
i work for DHL and delivered monday's parcels yesterday... as they arrive in the depot friday night I went to one house and the customer said that the liverpool tracksuit she'd ordered was due to be dispatched monday yet i delivere it yesterday...work that out!!!0 -
I got a card from HDNL this morning. It said 2 parcels had been left at "rear". I have searched the back of the house there's nothing there, have checked with the neighbours, they haven't got the parcels. What the hell am i supposed to do now?0

ring hndl customer services and report it. Are these parcels ones that require a signature on delivery? if so then the delivery guy has been dis-honest and faked a signature. You have the proof from the delivery card that no signature was given0

i was out delivering items today.
had items posted 20th/21st on standard parcels/1st class so its possible you may get the items
however we near cleared all the parcels today but on arrival back at the delivery office we had 17 more yorkies(big trolleys) of packets
with 19 more enroute.
theres not a hope in hell of us clearing and delivering those tomorrow.
we dont have the space let alone drivers/vans to turn that around in one day0 -
Shocking to think alot of disapointed people out there with no gifts, just shows how messed up the postal system is.
Dont they usually have temps this time of year ?0 -

um hold on a minute. were out on sunday trying to clear the backlog but its messed up?
when people post them friday/saturday (after last posting dates) we're messed up?
theres not much we can do when that volume of packets arrives with one posting day left.
remember all the strikes over cuts etc? this was exactly rthe scenario expected by the staff this xmas.
temps cant do van runs.there not trained(rm insurers demand this) and doing mutlidrops requirtes a bit of knowledge/planning
were trying our best with no staff or vans.
i was out with the delivery office manager today.0 -
I know you are working on a Sunday and trying your best i dont blame the posties
, but something has gone wrong somewhere, ive still got stuff i posted a week ago not arrived yet.

you may think 1 week at xmas is a long time but if you have seen what my eyes have seen(on for the film geeks) you would understand.
the volume is enormous.just finding space to store and process is a problem.0
