another quick question about the signature, does it need to be a physical signature (on paper then photo of it added to the doc)? or can it be a digital signature? i.e. drawn in paint, then inserted as an image on the document. I'd guess either is accepted, it probably doesn't matter.0 -
Digital signature is OK or photo of signature on a piece of white paper inserted as a .jpeg (other formats are available) to the .pdf.2

You can just type your name as your signature.CPR 32.4(1) states:
A witness statement is a written statement signed by a person which contains the evidence which that person would be allowed to give orally.
CPR 5.3 states:
Where any of these Rules or Practice Directions requires a document to be signed, that requirement shall be satisfied if the signature is printed by computer or any mechanical means. Therefore, the Civil Procedure Rules support the use of electronic signatures.

Next stage - DQ - is taking 2 months or more this Summer as you will see when you read more court claim threads just like yours, to learn from and be confident.RedRaccoon said:Done, defence submitted.
Now waiting for the next stage. But: IMPORTANT - ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT:Please concentrate on the Call For Evidence and sending an email to the DLUHC showing your £170 threatogram evidence.
The Government want to hear from consumers as well as PPCs and Question 4 is the one to answer, if you only do one.
This is vital. Attach your threatogram letters to your email and tell the Government how receiving extortionate 3 figure threats and the thought of defending a court claim feels:

It's one email. One question; will take minutes.
Make sure you attach letters to provide evidence.
Obviously state at the start of your email response to the DLUHC that you are a consumer and are answering Question 4 on the parking Call for Evidence.
It is not something you wanted to happen but you did not pay the unfair PCN and will now see the parking firm in court, because the way the PCN is ever-increasing looks like a scam and the bold/red demands from third parties actually stop people paying or engaging. It is all so unnecessarily extortionate and this business should be made illegal.
Add that you want your evidence to help inform the DLUHC to confirm the decision to ban the added 'fee'. The added money is nothing to do with debt resolution (debt collectors do not want disputes 'resolved', they just want money). This business model is all about driving cases to court in huge numbers, with the inherent CCJ risk.
Change the law... we already are...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes I can certainly do this. I've got 2 separate cases of these threatogram letters I received just last week, one for myself and another for my elderly father. I'll send them as 2 emails, might be more effective.Coupon-mad said:

Yes please. Mention the effect on your father who probably got scared and wanted to pay to make the scam go away?
The main objection is the amount of money. DRA fees should be banned outright as it funds the bulk litigation machine and tries to get around (and more than double) the capped legal fees that are intended to apply in small claims.
The DRAs and 'legal' firms are leeching millions.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi guys,
Update on my case:
Correspondence received:
- Received PE's DQ N180 earlier.
- Got my DQ N180 from CNBC on 22nd Nov, returned by 11th Dec as instructed. Sent copies to CNBC and PE.
- Received a comprehensive "Notice to Proceed" letter from PE.
- Contains a 36-page document with past letters, car park plan, and their response to my defence. Found their opening paragraph amusing!
Efforts to resolve:
- Reached out to Starbucks store manager seeking assistance in canceling the charge.
- Manager seemed unsure due to it being at the court stage.
- Awaiting response after the request.
