    You'd have to ask RingGo.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

surely it is reasonable to assume I had been covered. Does anyone know if we can get hold of parking locations so that I could check if the company claiming I had not paid is linked to this location please

Thank you, so the parking location I entered was for a different city. I guess I now need to cross reference the parking operator is different - if so i guess I have a weaker case..

Just e mailed the location car park I had inadvertently paid for to see who operator is - fingers crossed.....
  • Honest mistake is still a strong case.

I think the case is very strong you should absolutely not consider paying it.  If you have told them of your "mistake" they cannot take advantage of that for their own gain.

Do you know if the BPA Approved Operator code of practice is a defence - latest version says keying errors like this should be dealt with by operator cancelling any fines

The lovely people at Oxford car park, which is the wrong location code I entered, have confirmed they would have received my payment. They indicated they think the Chichester operator should have cancelled the fine.

Just checking  -  you posted on page 1:-

"......the parking company is the National Parking Control Group."

If that is the ppc then they are IPC AoS members so should be using IPC CoP
