My average unit cost for the month on Agile has been 3.27p! I think that's the lowest I've ever managed. It's 11.04p for the year, and 2.95p for the week. I could probably make it more lucrative filling and discharging the battery, but I don't have the brainpower for that at the moment! Those numbers certainly clarify that I'm better off on Agile than any of the solar tariffs.2

Ooh, get you with your tent carpet! We were considering a tent for next year - now is probably the time to buy i suppose with end of summer sales... Definitely going to have a tent carpet now though 😂
You've also reminded me about regular savers - our 7% (i think) co-op one ended recently, and I haven't even moved the dosh into our main savings account yet, it's just languishing in the same account. We don't have another one at the minute, must see what's available. A job for the rainy weekend, I think!3 -
I can never understand why tents are supplied with such rubbish pegs, I wish when you were buying a tent it was possible to select which pegs you would like and pay to upgrade them and not receive the rubbish pegs.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

People buy actual (chuffing expensive!) fitted carpets for their tents Cheery - which always bewilders me a bit, as surely they end up in front of the door and get filthy unless you're the sport of person who always steps out of shoes outside?! ours will definitely be a cheap picnic rug alternative, though!
Greenbee that's super impressive - I really wish we were at the stage of solar & batteries too as I'd be fascinated to see how low we could get things!
BB - with you on the pegs - although at least the replacements are relatively cheap, and we do still use the rubbish ones in less crucial areas, as long as we can actually get them into the ground!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thank you for the recipe, I'm definitely going to try baking the rolls to have with some autumnal soup.
we use some of the sm ol products and the dishwasher tablets are brilliant. Even Mr Bc who loves to buy as cheap as possible says that he wouldn't swop them. The £10 starter pack is a brilliant bargain. I find it very easy to amend orders and delivery dates and you do get a reminder email with about 4 days to amend the order.

I did like the smol stuff but I found some of the casing of the washing tabs didn't dissolve and stuck to my clothes even at 40C so have gone back to MrL liquid. I like Homethings for the cleaning spray tabs“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Heating is on! MrEH was feeling a bit rough yesterday - just a bit of a stomach upset which I reckon would usually not have phased him at all but I suspect his immune system & gut microbiome are both a bit depleted still after his industrial levels of antibiotics so it knocked him for 6 a bit. When I got home from work he announced he'd been "freezing cold" all afternoon - "why didn't you put the heater on in the office?" I asked - "Oh, I didn't need to..." was the response... sigh! Clearly he DID need to, but there you go! Anyway, that decided things - central heating straight on and thermostat cranked to 20! I've left it to fall back to its usual levels during the day today - 18 will be plenty warm enough for him when he's indoors - and he's under strict instructions to either move the laptop into the house or just put the flipping heater on in the office if needed today!
He's been paid, I haven't as yet.
Looking at the electric price forecasts for the weekend there is a decent chance we'll be able to switch the GCH off overnight at least Thursday to Friday and Friday to Saturday nights and use electric heating instead, although that might depend on the actual timings for the cheap slots, and whether they are as good as they currently look. We're away Saturday night anyway, and I won't run oil filled rads when we're not at home, so that will limit things a bit.
New tent was trial pitched on the local playing field at the weekend - not quite so easy to pitch as the old one but bearing in mind it's a lot bigger that's not a huge surprise.
MSE stuff:
- Tarpaulin at almost the right size for underneath the new tent purchased via the Bay of E and should be arriving tomorrow.
- I had a lovely time on Friday/Saturday with Claire and some other pals for the BBMF members day. Claire also took me up to see the new Lancaster sculpture (not open to the public yet but she's involved with the team organising it all so has access) "On Freedom's Wings" - it's incredibly beautiful - just breathtaking in scale and it was a total privilege to just be able to stand there and take it in on our own. Costs for that - kebab for tea on Friday and I bought a bottle of wine and some chocolate, then food on Saturday at the event. All from personal spends/fun account.
- I have now (finally!) paid my £35 to join the BBMF Members club - that's come from my airshow account.
- Batch cooked a lamb curry on Sunday - that fed us for lunch on Sunday, there is a double portion in the fridge and a further double portion in the fridge.
- Food organised-ish for the week - salad last night (including home grown toms & cucumbers), couscous tonight (will do halloumi as the protein, plus the usual veg bits. Tomorrow will be the lamb curry, and Thursday will almost certainly be something with pasta.
- Washing up to date, and with luck will all be line dried too by the end of the day.
- DW ran overnight as well - as it had reached the point where I couldn't hold off for any cheaper rates.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
